Even better rates is the local homeless shelter they even throw in a free
sandwhich and coffee if the morning.

Why not stay at one of the beach resort in Ft. Lauderdale? Do you really have
to stay by the airport for shelter?

If you're flying in to Ft. Laud. the evening before your cruise, and are
looking for a convenient place to stay, something near the airport/port
makes a lot of sense. Sure, the hotels on the beach are lovely. But, is it
worth making the trip there for a bed??? Plus, several of the port hotels
offer free shuttle service to the ships - a savings and a convenience.

The days inn provides transportation from the airport and for a small fee
takes you to the port. What a variance in the pricing for a room to sleep in
, we dont get in until sat about 330 so basically it is a place to relax for
heading out on the cruise and at a price point of about 55 dollars, seemed
ok especially since most of the other places are full

Days Inn rates their own hotels on a Sunburst system. Find out how many
Sunbursts this hotel has, if it is a 4 or 5, don't worry about it. A three
sunburst hotel can be borderline, but it all depends on your needs and
expectations.

Based on the home page of the hotel it is a 5 sunburst, so that is a good
thing

The Days Inn Hollywood/Airport South is NOT a dump.
We have stayed there pre-cruise, and it is a nice,
clean place. Sure, it isnt the Ritz, but for $55
it is a great place just to spend the night.
Yes, they do have a free shuttle to/from FLL airport,
and do charge $5 per person for transportation from the
hotel to Port Everglades. Our room was clean and comfortable,
the service was good, and the rate was excellent. The
Amerisuites may be nicer, but if you cant get their
special rate of $59/69/79, then this Days Inn may be a better
option. We would definitely stay there again.
