New England/Canada Cruises

I would like some info on cruises going north from New York to Canada.
Has anyone taken this cruise? Would you recommend it? How many stops
does it make and how long to you get to look around.....Any info would be
appreciated!

My husband and I are on the waiting list for Holland America's Veendam
trip from Montreal to New York on September 28. Lasts 10 days, stops in
Quebec City; Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; Halifax, Nova Scotia;
Bar Harbor Maine; Boston Mass. and Newport Rhode Island. Never been on it
before but really looking forward to it. THey also go the opposite
direction NY-Montreal Aug 29 and Sept 18 and a 12-day round trip from NY
that includes Bermuda on October 8.

All the ship is booked, that's why the waiting list...I'm told that since
only a few lines offer New England trips and the time for fall foliage is
limited, they book early. Someone e-mailed me that the Princess might
still have openings.

Hi Joyce,

Most of these cruises are 7-10 days. I have made this cruise and it
is one of my favorites. I embarked at Montreal and made stops at
Quebec City, Halifax, Bar Harbor, Boston, Newport, and New York. We
were in port 2 days in Montreal and 1 day at the other ports.
Several cruise lines are doing this route this year. It is very
popular and many sailings are already sold out. If you want to go
this year, you should talk to a cruise professional right away.
