Is the Princess Cruise Personalizer just a joke? I can locate the personalizer, I can
enter my name and booking ID numberand then there is nowhere to go. The little button
marked "Go" does not have any useful options in terms of going forward. There is no link
to fill our choices for excursions as indicated in the pre-cruise documents. There is no
place to look for cabin assignments. Perhaps there is a key to unlock this worthless page.

Dick;
The cruise personalizer takes quite awhile to load, especially if you have a
dial up connection.

Remember to put your last name at the top and your first name in the second
box. I got tripped up initially on that one.

Give it some time and once it's loaded you should be able to check your booking
and fill in your information.

I hope this helps;
Mike

Thanks for the reply Mike but I find it hard to believe that this is the problem. I have
a DSL line that is very fast at information download. Also, there is an indicator on
Netscape that shows when you are still receiving information and that icon is quiet. We
have tried various names, mine and my wife's etc to no avail.. It wouldn't matter what
name is entered as there is no useful place to go after the initial information is
entered.

The secret is to access it using outlook express. I know, my husband
hates outlook and that is why we use netscape.

Hi Richard, I use MS outlook as the mail reader and Ie 6.0, and do not have
a problem entering information, for that matter I had to update a piece of
information last night about 730 est and it flew right along. Oh I am using
a dial up connection with a connect speed of about 50.6kps. I have been in
there numerous other times as well. I do enter it via "book your
excursions" and then on that page select cruise personalizer.

I have had no problem with it. I just used it last night to book a

possibility may be your browser. Do you have Java enabled?

When you hit the go button it should take you to your booking record.

I used it last week and had not problems with it at all. I filled in
some of my information there and need to go back and fill in the rest.
You cannot work with the shore excusrisons until about 60 days prior
to the cruise it says.

Maybe they were just having site problems, I would try again and
good luck.

A lot of people use the Travel Agent confirmation number instead of the
one from Princess. Check with you TA for the Princess number.

I've noticed that the Cruise Personalizer doesn't seem to work with
Netscape 6, and it takes a few minutes to render pages on Netscape 4.7
(all work done on your computer, so your download speed doesn't matter
on NS 4.7). It worked fine on IE. But I haven't tried Mac versions
of these programs.

It's not always up, either... I've had it go down a few times.

I'd suggest possibly finding MSIE for the Mac, or pointing NS 4.7 at
it and going out for dinner, see if that helps.

Do you mean Windows Internet Explorer? AFAIK Outlook is for email and
newsgroups only. (I don't use it)

Hi Dick,
One other thing to check, make sure you have the right number to access the
cruise personalizer. At first all I had was a reservation number, not the
right one. You can get it from your travel agent or by calling 1-800-Princess.

Good luck, once you get into the personalizer, its a great feature, enjoy.

We bought our trip in Feb. Within a week we were able to log in with our
booking number and complete the online info, locate our cabin, etc. Last Nov
did same thing. I have a dial up modem but it still loads pretty fast. Make
sure you are using the correct booking number and latest version of your
browser.

Thanks to the many who have responded to my question about the Princess Personalizer. I
have found that the Microsoft Internet Express comes closer to working than Netscape. By
using IE I can get to a page that has a "Login" selection. However I continue to get a
message that says "Booking not Found". Our cruise was paid for 6 weeks ago and it starts
about a month from now. Apparently the one month lead time is too much. Yes, I am
definitely using the right name and yes, I am using the proper booking ID.

I have a feeling something is not entered right. Name or booking
number. I made my whole payment Monday for a cruise at the end of April
and I was able to view my booking that evening. I got the booking ID of
of the fax confirmation that my TA got back from Princess and gave to
me. The ID number is in this format---1xxx1x.

I have the same feeling, Charles~~In my case, I left out the
apostrophe in my last name as so many computers do not accept it, but
it was entered in the personalizer with it. Once I entered the
apostrophe, it came up. I was able to access my file not long after I
made the first payment in January and the cruise is in May. Also,
though I made the reservation, it was put under my husband's name and
would not accept mine. After entering his name, all went smoothly and
I access it with no problems. Male chauvinist computer! <vbg>

We had a similar problem and called Princess. Princess told us to add a
space and the middle name initial in the first name box. This was the
solution.
You may enter the name of anyone included in the booking to get to the same
data entry pages.
