We have the privilege to be sailing in a suite on the NCL Spirit in a few
weeks. Never having had this pleasure, what is the tipping recommendation
for these two folks? Is it per service, or is there a suggested daily
amount? Any insight or experience would be greatly appreciated.

The cruise line generally gives guidance, but, given a reasonable level of
performance, I usually give the butler and the room steward each $3.50 p/p,
p/d. Often, I get superior service and increase gratuities to perhaps $5.50
p/p,/d. On back to back cruises, I tip at the mid-point and at the end.
Those guys might have bills to pay.

Enjoy the luxury and have fun.

No answers for that, but look Don Russell up in the piano bar. Terrific
pianist. He will play Gershwin and Classical at afternoon tea on sea days.
He was on the Celebration in Dec. and said he was transferring to the Spirit
which he said was is favorite vessel. If you like quality music, you will
really enjoy him. A Julliard grad.

When we sailed in the owners suite on the Norwegian Crown, we also had
no idea what to tip them ... The concierge was virtually useless but
tried hard and made sure to say hello every day ... The butler otoh
was fantastic with the breakfast service and all else asked of
him ...
still we gave the concierge $30 and the butler $60 for the week ...
Seemed about fair ... but again we had no guidelines ...
