Go to one of the public beaches, don't freeload. If you feel the need
to go to a hotel's beach, please take your own towels and sit on one of
them instead of taking a chair that is supposed to be for hotel guests.
Yes, the beach in front of a hotel may be "public", but the facilities
offered are not for poaching by non-paying public.

The hotel does not own the beach. If you can get to it you can use it.

Hotels that don't want "freeloaders" charge folks to use their chairs, etc.
If your hotel doesn't do that, perhaps YOU should go to a different hotel
that has policies that please you?

Precisely you said is, "If you're on
a cruise, go somewhere else. To do otherwise is just not polite."
You are the rude and impolite person. Sorry, just calling it like I see
it!
Thank you for the one responsible suggestion.
I just can't understand the mindset of the rest of
the responders who think it's just fine to think only
of themselves when going to a hotel and using it's
facilities when not a paying customer (either staying
there or as part of a cruise deal). If you feel so
disposed to do that, at least spend some money at the
place.
