Hi Jeff
Thanks for the pictures, looks real good !!
Could you tell me what cat level your cabin was?
I have a cat C booked and I was wondering if that was a Cat C.
I am going on the Adventure of the Seas next week and it is almost the
same ship as the Brilliance of the Seas. Thanks.

One more question, if you would be so kind as to answer, the cabin I
have booked is also on the back of the ship just like your cabin and I
was wondering if you felt the ship going up and down when you were
sleeping or any other time you were in the room. I was just
wondering.

Thank you so much for your time and pictures !
Any comments or advice would be appreciated !!

Thank you
Ray

Hi Ray,

We had a category D cabin which is much smaller than a suite (204 vs. 277 sq
ft). But still very comfortable for us.

We felt no more motion than usual being in the back of the ship. All of our
previous cruises have been outside cabins midship and we still felt motion.
Decided to try something different this time. The only disadvantage I saw
was the lack of rear lifts, which made it a mighty long walk from midship.
As a matter of fact, we liked it so much we'll be in the same cabin next
November.

Enjoy your cruise,
Jeff

Ray -

We had a Cat. C on Voyager and it was wonderful. When we were
unpacking, out of habit we stuffed our clothes into the drawers and
cabinets and when we were done, we felt very foolish because there was
so much space left over. We were in a Cat. B on Adventure last month
and we actually liked the Cat. C better. It just had a roomier feel and
a better layout despite being much smaller. We have already booked a
Cat. C on Brilliance for next December. Have a wonderful time on
Adventure...it is terrific ship.

This is the second time I have heard this.

Please explain.

Yes, it is the second time I have said this. I will try to give a
better explanation. In Cat. B the problem is the sleeping/dressing area
which is very cramped. The bed is parallel to the balcony only about
20" from the window wall. On the other side of the bed are the
vanity/desk/drawers & cabinets, less than 3' from the bed. The desk
itself is only about 12" deep - barely room enough for my laptop. When
my wife was sitting at the vanity doing her makeup, it was impossible
for me to get to the drawers and cabinets (including the one with the
safe) to her right without climbing on the bed. The biggest problem was
when we were getting dressed for dinner ... seems we were always bumping
into each other. Cat. C on the other hand is laid out in a more
traditional way - bathroom, bed, sitting area on one side, and closets,
cabinets/drawers and vanity on the other with plenty of room to walk
down the middle. Also the desk/vanity is a bit deeper. I think the
root of the problem with "B" is the size of the bathroom. It is much
bigger than it has to be. It has a huge vanity with a double sink. It
could easily be 2 - 3' smaller without sacrifcing anything (even the
second sink). This would have allowed them to increase the depth of the
desk and cabinets in the sleeping area and the spacing on either side of
the bed.

Our pictures from our AOS cruise are posted at

http://www.coronetbridal.com/AOS.htm

Under "Ship Pictures" there are two pictures of the sleeping area which
may give you a better idea of what I am talking about.

Hi Steve Buch

Thanks very much for the explanation and the pictures. Would you
happen to have any pictures of the Cat. C cabin that you had on the
voyager (I think that was the ship) for comparison?

Thanks
Ray
