During the entire month of March, the Tancredi Colon Cancer Prevention
Foundation (TCCPF) will hold its first annual eBay Giving Works
Internet auction. On March 1, Silent Partners Inc., an auction
management firm from Calabasas, Calif., unveiled the TCCPF auction Web
site and is now inviting potential bidders to scour an astonishing list
of auction items that span the entire globe. Bidders will have the
opportunity to bid on international travel packages, airline tickets,
autographed movie scripts - signed by amazing Hollywood talents, theme
park tickets, fantastic health and beauty packages, movie tickets and
so much more. Auction representatives estimate that over 200 items will
be available to the highest bidder.
Just visit 'www.ebay.com/tancredi' (http://www.ebay.com/tancredi) and
look for these incredible opportunities. You're sure to be able to
purchase these items at a fraction of the cost. Enjoy!

More spam from Travelforums. Supposidly a moderated gateway. In reality
a big fat spam gateway.

Actually Charles, this is not spam. It's a message from me, Jim
Tancredi, the Chairman and the Founder of the Tancredi Colon Cancer
Prevention Foundation (TCCPF) headquartered in Odessa, Delaware, USA. I
made the posts in these forums in an effort to bring some interest to
our auction where the proceeds are used to raise colon cancer
awareness. March is colon cancer awareness month. In actuality, the
auction does offer some tremendous opportunities to purchase a wide
variety of items including travel packages, dining certificates, signed
movie scripts, and much more. The Four Seasn's George V hotel stay will
be on teh board by month's end. If my post was offensive to you, I
apologize. Again, we are simply offering good travel deals as part of
our auction to raise colon cancer awareness. Should you wish to contact
me, you may e-mail me at jtan...@tccpf.org or you may call me at
302-222-7574, the Foundations telephone number. Cheers!

This is a newsgroup for discussion of cruises. It is not a newsgroup to
offer travel deals for whatever cause. Your posting does not belong
here.

Charles, excuse me for offending you and offering an opportunity to
travel to beautiful international locations for less while raising
awareness about a disease that kills hundreds of thousands each year.
By the way, have you or your family members been screened. It's an
awful way to die. Witnessed it first hand when my mother passed away
from complications of colon cancer last May.

Your posts are off topic. As you obviously know. I doubt you are
raising funds for any cause except yourself.

Mike,

No problem. Check back after March 11th and you'll see a new slate of
items for auction. Eventually, there will be approximately 4 waves of
40 -50 different items each week. As the waves progress, the items get
more interesting. And, as usual, I woud like to ask you to have
yourself and your family stay on top of your screeneings. Thirty
minutes of your time could save you 30 years of your life.

Oh, by the way, we are absolutely a legitamate non-profit. We are a
project of the National Heritage Foundation (NHF) in Falls Church, VA,
('www.nhf.org' (http://www.nhf.org/)) and we operate under their
501(c)3 number - 58-2085326. If you visit their site, you'll find a
copy of their Final IRS Determination Letter and contact numbers to
research TCCPF's affiliation. The NHF is home to over 6,000 public
foundations including teh Donovan McNabb Diabetes Foundation.

Lastly, based on the bylaws of the NHF, we don't actually handle our
cash/finances. NHF's accounting staff is in complete control of our
finances and they approve any disbursements when cash is used to hold
an awareness event.

Hope you find something of interest in the auction.

Charles,

When were you empowered to decide what is and what isn't appropriate?

I agree with Mike Cordelli that there is nothing wrong with what Jim
Tancredi posted to raise awareness for a good cause.

This is Usenet. Everyone is empowered to have an opinion.

Just because it may be a good cause does not make it right. There are
lots of good causes raising money. This newsgroup is about cruises, not
raising awareness of good causes.

I don't care if you are legit or not. There are a lot of legit and not
legit causes. This is not the place to sell items for causes.

Mike is entitled to his opinion. And after all there is a sucker born
every minute. Otherwise there would no be spammers.

Also it is agianst E-Bay policy to spam. They could be made aware of
your posting.

You are entitled to your opinion, Charles. Mine, after reading the reasons
behind TCCPF, is that if this newsgroup can survive 200 messages about hand
washing, we can allow Jim's message.

If you can't, Charles, then killfile Jim and allow the rest of us to make
our own decisions.

Not surprising that you would have that opinion as you have been one of
the worst off-topic posters around here.

Maybe you don't like hand washing but given the outbreaks of virus it
is unfortunatly on topic in a cruise newsgroup. If you don't want to
read anymore about it just ignore the threads.

Glad that you have decided to post again under your name instead of
under that other bullshit.
