I'm looking to get a different credit card to get free air miles to make my
cruises more cost effective.
so what card works for you and is good for getting the free tickets when you
want to fly..
free miles are not any good if you can't use them when you want to.
also want a card with a good poicly on frauld are theft protection. I use
my card a lot on the i-net..
I must say MBNA / US air card has been very good, not like the AirTran card.
thanks in adv BobG

Your USAir card is by Bank of America, unless there are several out there.
My recommendation for your list of requirements.....explore CapitalOne's
offerings.
They seem to have cards with the fewest restrictions, the broadest range of
airlines, the lowest per year fees and lowest interest rates.
(There are a lot of CapitalOne ads on TV these days)
Not bad.

Easy but not worth much.
3.) Double miles on most grocery, drugstore,

Most credit cards have that perk now, plus double miles on airline
tieket charged.

There's one catch. They don't have many such seats.
In general, I think the credit cards are pretty competitive now, in
terms of very similar perks. It boils down to the airline you like
to accumulate miles. Delta is NOT one of them for me. :-)
YMMV,

Who flies out of your hub? It doesn't do a damn bit of good to have a
SWA card if they don't fly near you. I like my AAdvantage card from
Citi, but I also put a lot of miles on American (or is that
AAmerican?) It makes no sense for me to fly 100,000 miles and then
collect miles on a different card that don't correlate. That's why
these "fly on anyone" offers don't work for me.
