Hi Blake,
We sailed on the Destiny in November.
My husband and I indulged in some spa treatments -- he a facial; me a
facial and a seaweed massage. My husband loved the facial and wondered why
he hadn't done it before! I personally could have done without the facial. I
think the massages are a little more expensive than on land, but really
relaxing and worth every penny.
This seaweed treatment was really nice and I recommend it. It was
expensive. I believe that they gave me some sort of deal when I agreed to
the massage and the facial. Maybe it was $150 for the two treatments. They
do push their products. I told the woman who did my facial I would be upset
if she tried to sell me anything so she didn't try. However, I was so
relaxed at the end of my massage that I was nearly braindead that I bought a
$45 bottle of something that I will probably never open and didn't check my
sail and sign card after I left. I got someone else's card. It was a slight
pain to settle that problem. They keep your card at the desk while you are
being pampered.
I think the manicures, pedicures, and hair services are probably
comparable to what you would pay in a large city in a very nice salon. Both
of you should indulge. You deserve it and you will love it.
