We booked three cabins on this ship, a balcony for us and two inside
cabins for our grown sons Eric (27), and Adam (25) and his girlfriend.
Our balcony cabin was spacious, with an oversized balcony (about 3 times
the normal size) because of its location (near a stairwell aft on the ship).
The Carnival Victory continues to provide a very impressive cruising
experience. The ship was in excellent condition throughout. Food in
both the dining room and lido restaurant were excellent, far surpassing
that provided on Celebrity, RCCL, and Princess. Only desserts were
somewhat disappointing. Service was top-notch.
The ship was very full with 3200 passengers, yet it never felt
over-crowded. The pax were the youngest I have encountered on any
cruise, averaging in their 20's. This made the trip a real blast for us
and our sons, as we are night people, who love to stay up until the wee
hours. All pax we encountered were extremely pleasant, friendly, and
well behaved.
Entertainment on the ship was variable. There was an outstanding Reggae
Band who played by the pool and at one of the two deck parties. There
was a excellent contemporary jazz group. Other music was provided by
Philipino band who were not very good, a string quartet that was fine, a
good pianist, a piano bar pianist (I never go to piano bars), a very
poor singer (musician?) outside the casino, and a duo who played cheesy
tunes in one of the lounges. The two production shows were outstanding,
with fabulous costumes, sets, lighting, dance numbers, and two of the
best production singers I have heard on any ship. I also caught one
late night comedian who was very obscene and very funny. I didn't go to
any other shows.
Ports of call included Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica. I really
like the idea of three full days at sea on a 7-day cruise.
I continue to be impressed with the Victory and would recommend the ship
to anyone who has good taste and is young at heart.

We are booked in a Balcony Cabin.
Questions:
Is there a refridge in the room?
We have a 2 year old...Did you see young ones in the dinning room? Do you
think we can get a high chair? Did you happen to notice any? How did tipping
work...Do they take automatically when boarding on the sail and sign? do you
know what tips they were asking? What food was open 24? Do you think Juice
etc...would be readily available ?
Thanks!!
