I saw this AP news story regarding planes buzzing a cruise ship and
thought it would be of interest.

>What Cruise Ship was in NY on thursday night??
There are a number of dinner cruise ships in the area all the time ... and even
more to watch the fireworks on july 4 from the harbor ... IMO the best place to
watch
them ...
In the Village ....
I am not a number ... I am a free man !!!!

I think it may have been the Carnival Triumph. I believe she sailed last
evening.

>the planes were nowhere near NY harbor or the fireworks
From what I read ...they were off Rockaway ... saying that is no where near New
York Harbor is not exactly correct ...
My boat makes that run in under an hour .. a plane would be minutes away ...
I saw some plane activity plus a Helocopter hoover over the Triumph which I am
on right now.

We were buzzed repeatedly by an unmarked plane in the Med three years ago.
when he turned for a pass on the port side stern to rear I felt like
hitting the deck, fully expecting a strafing run like one would see in an
old war movie. (It was a military style propeller craft)
Needless to say it had everyone buzzing for the rest of the day.
