Hi Everyone,

As I have mentioned recently, travel agents and cruise lines have been
recording a real "Wave Season" this summer. The Wave Season is
traditionally the January to early March period when travel agents
book the majority of cruises for the next 12-months. Since 9/11 there
has only been a short-lived wave season with sales not approaching the
historic norms. This year the wave season is taking place this
summer. Summers are usually the slowest booking periods of the year
for cruise lines. I received this press release from Silversea and
thought it would be of interest. If you have missed any of my news'
postings, they are available on my web site.

Best regards,
Ray

SILVERSEA CRUISES SETS NEW SINGLE-DAY BOOKING RECORD

Achievement Tops Off Weeks of Outstanding Cumulative

Increases in Reservation Sales

Ft. Lauderdale, FL – July 28, 2003
Silversea Cruises today announced it achieved the highest booking day
in its history on July 21, 2003. The single-day record follows a
twelve-week period where the ultra-luxury line has been seeing average
weekly reservations increase by over 40% compared to the same period
last year.

“This accomplishment further validates our efforts to build awareness
of Silversea’s tremendous value as an ultra-deluxe vacation option,”
said Bill Leiber, Silversea’s Senior Vice President, Sales and
Marketing. “Building on Silversea’s stellar reputation for excellence,
we’ve introduced a number of product enhancements, like Personalized
VoyagesSM and our flexible embarkation and debarkation program, that
offer our guests greater convenience, flexibility and choices. These
initiatives have bolstered an effective worldwide marketing program,
and we’re delighted to see that luxury-minded consumers are responding
so favorably to our efforts to re-define the concept of elite luxury
cruising with the added value of choice and flexibility.”

Added Leiber, “With the recent announcement of our new 2004
itineraries, featuring inaugural calls to Alaska and Japan, we expect
our reservations call volume to remain exceptionally high over the
next several months. And with the special events and programs that
we’re planning to roll out to celebrate our 10th anniversary in 2004,
we’re looking forward to seeing these very impressive booking trends
continue throughout next year.”

Complete details about Silversea’s Personalized Voyages and flexible
embarkation and debarkation program, as well as the new 2004 cruise
schedule with over 160 worldwide itineraries, are available at the
line’s Web site, www.silversea.com.

Silversea Cruises is recognized as an innovator in the luxury segment,
offering guests large-ship amenities aboard four intimate vessels,
Silver Cloud, Silver Wind, Silver Shadow, and Silver Whisper, all
designed to offer an atmosphere of conviviality and casual elegance.
For the seventh consecutive year, Silversea Cruises was named best
small-ship line in the 2002 readers’ survey conducted by Condé Nast
Traveler magazine. For the fifth time, Silversea was selected “Number
One” small-ship line in Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2003.
2004 will be an exciting year as Silversea celebrates its 10th
anniversary. Look for upcoming announcements about gala events and
special programs to celebrate the line’s ten years of excellence.

Paul, we can determine that for ourselves. We really don't need you to make
that decision for us. After 13 cruises and 6 yrs on various boards, I can
decide for myself who defines Sleaze best.

Perhaps you can, but others may not know that Edgar/Ray is modifying the
posts.

Many may think that what he posts is the actual press release.

All I am doing is informing our readers that his posts are not authentic.

I explain that Edgar/Ray modifies the releases not, to provide any
additional information but for his own commercial purposes, and then
reposts them as if they were the original.

As proof, I provides a link where people can go directly to the unmodified
Press
Release instead of having to sift through the advertisements at Edgar/Ray's
website.

Unlike Edgar/Ray, I do not insult our readers' intelligence by pretending to
provide cruise information just to advertise my Travel Agency. I am not
selling anything.

Readers can evaluate my reply and Edgar/Ray's post and decide what's true.

This "Paul" is only capable of writing four messages.

You have just seen his "Sleaze Alert", and number two is his "Cordelliism"
note which followed. His third is to boast a Carnival cruise for $28, and
finally, he will answer my note to you by macroing that I once said, over
six months ago, that I would not answer him.

Since I am answering "HDawson228" I am technically not answering "Captain
Macro", but that doesn't bother him, nor does the fact that I have, on a
dozen occasions, attempted to convince "Paul" that I changed my mind.

I also find it amusing that on those rare occasions when "Paul" either needs
to know something or actually has something to say, he reverts to a
different e-mail address, phs_n...@adelphia.net

Paul at Adelphia is not the "Paul" you are obsessed with. You are
becoming a bigger problem than the troll you post about all the time.

Once again I apologize to phs_n...@adelphia.net if I incorrectly accused

Thank you. You're absolutely correct! I've changed my newsreader so
I'll now show up as "Paul Sch."
