MIAMI, FL Oct. 23
Artwork by Tony Curtis, Anthony Quinn, Billy Dee Williams and many
others has found a permanent home onboard Royal Caribbean
International's newest Voyager-class ship, ``Explorer of the Seas.''
Valued at $600,000, the ``ArtStars'' celebrity exhibit is unlike any
art collection afloat, and joins more than $10 million in commissioned
art onboard ``Explorer of the Seas.''

``With each new ship we create, we add a unique and special element
that gives the vessel her own dynamic personality,'' said Jack
Williams, president, Royal Caribbean International. ``The Stairway of
the Stars collection is certain to delight our guests.

Among the works on display on the Forward stairway, from decks one
through 12, are oil paintings from Billy Dee Williams; a pop-art
collage from Peter Falk; serigraph prints from Anthony Quinn, Henry
Miller and jazz great Miles Davis; and celebrity portraits from
photographers Annie Liebovitz, Milton Greene and Henry Diltz. Tony
Bennett's oil painting, Atlantic City, hangs in the Main stairway on
Deck 13.

Some celebrities worked in several mediums. Herb Alpert's work
includes abstract expressionist prints and sculptures; Tony Curtis'
and Anthony Quinn's displays include paintings and sculptures.

Williams' painting is of jazz singer Billy Holliday. Liebovitz's,
Greene's and Diltz's portraits include more than 25 celebrities,
including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Meryl Streep, Andy Warhol, Ella
Fitzgerald, John Lennon, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Marilyn Monroe, Marlene
Dietrich and Frank Sinatra.

``Never before has anyone put together such a collection of well-known
international celebrities who are also gifted artists, and featured
them in one comprehensive collection,'' said Joan Blackman, director,
London Contemporary Art, Miami office. The company serves as the
exclusive art advisor to Royal Caribbean International for all new
ships. ``People love to learn more about the celebrities whom they
know and admire, and we'll bet that most people didn't know that these
celebrities also are gifted artists. It's like looking through a
special window into their lives.''

Royal Caribbean International is a global cruise company with 13 ships
in service, with seven more under construction or on firm order. For
