We are booked on the Seven Seas Navigator for a Baltic cruise leaving
Stockholm July 1st. On the RSSC website it says there are 5 country club
casual days and two informal days. This works for me, but I'm wondering if
that might change when we get our documents or on the ship. I remember on
one of our HAL cruises there was one more formal or informal night on the
ship than was mentioned in our docs. I don't want to leave the formal stuff
home and then end up being underdressed. On the other hand, I can pack much
lighter without having to worry about formal wear.

RSSC does skip fomral nights on some of their cruisesk happened on one and
there was a bit of we'll do it anyway since several people brought the
clothes. But last time I encountered dress light on RSSC it was Jackets and
tires in abundance for the "informal" days and sprinkled sport coats on
the casual ones.

We just came back from Seven Seas Navigator -- 8 nights -- 5 casual, 3
informal. My husband never wore his ties but wore his lightweight suit with
dress shirts. It was wonderful. Never saw anyone in other than a light
suit, some ties, but many polo shirts with linen jackets and pants.
Definitely well dressed, but the passengers are not taking heavy suits since
the airlines have been enforcing the weight limits more vigorously.

It was a wonderful cruise by the way. One of our best.

Thus spake "number6" <snum...@aol.com> :

Actually, for several years there was a murder method in South Africa
that involved dropping tires soaked in gasoline over the victim and
lighting them. Called "necktieing".

Then there's the Columbian necktie.

We humans find some disgusting ways to kill each other.
