>Which cruiseline has the best pricing if baby is the 3rd passenger?
D-I-S-N-E-Y. Keep that little creep off the adult ships.

Oh, please! Our family just travelled with a baby in the group (he was
15 months) and we had a fabulous time. He's not likely to remember the
trip the way we are, but this trip really fit his outgoing, active
'style' and the entire family could not have sailed as a group without
the baby coming along.
BTW, we sailed HAL and were treated exceedingly well by crew, staff and
other passengers....The baby seemed to work his charm on even the more
curmegeon-y people on board, sharing his big smiles and passion for the
simpler things in life (ice cream, water fountains, walks on deck) with
everyone.
I dont' think crusing with an infant, toddler or young child is for
everyone, but I don't agree that none 'gets anything out of it' -- and I
don't think the family is stuck choosing between two Disney ships,
either! FWIW, we've seen infants, toddlers and young children on RCI,
HAL, and Costa, as well as charter lines!

I couldn't have said it better Barbara. Its refreshing to see this couple
devote so much time to this child as they do. And I don't mean " buying
things", but spending abundant quality time with him. They would never even
consider leaving without him for a week.
By the way, Disney does not do Alaska, which is where they would like to
cruise.
Please posters, if you don't have anything helpful to say, then say nothing.

15 months is not a baby the last time I checked

We waited to do Alaska till he was 7 just so he could enjoy it.
It was definitely more work traveling with him at a young age, but you can't
replace the quality time we've spent as a family.

Most ships these days cater to families - they have cribs, high
chairs, booster seats, kids menus and children's programs (these are
ALL the mainstrem cruiselines, not just Carnival and Disney). Some
have in cabin babysitting too.
Where and what are adult ships? If you want to cruise today, and are
not willing or able to pay the prices for the ultra-premium ships,
then you need to face the realization that cruising is now considered
a FAMILY trip. If you want an adults only vacation, there are resorts
that don't allow anyone under 18.

Especially the adult in the cabin next door who is just trying to
sleep.
I don't have to converse with anyone who brings an infant on a cruise
to know they are an inconsiderate twit. Same goes for parents who
let their toddlers kick the backs of airplane seats, who change diapers
at their seat, or who publicly whip out a mammary gland and make sure
everyone gets a good look at it before putting the baby at suck, etc.

>Where and what are adult ships?
Any place where kids are unacceptable. Sure, you can get your embryo a
ticket but cruises have no place for babies and kids.
D-I-S-N-E-Y. Be there.

That's because they feed the tots to the whales.
>We've cruised with our son since he was 2. He's now been on about 9 cruises
>and he's 8!
Yippee. What a conceited creep you are.
>We have done 2 cruises with our daughter. The first on the Celebrity
>Millenium at 13 months, where she was the bell of the ball.
She may have been YOUR bell but the rest of the passengers would have
liked to throttle her.

I luv you. Let's meet for sex.
I do sympathise with your wish to not deal with children during your
vacation, but to purchase a product that is being promoted as a
'Family Vacation', and then complain about ankle biters being present
is just not being realistic.
You need to either go to an adults only resort, or find an 'adults
only cruise' - what about the smaller cruises such as windjammer, or
come to terms with the fact that a cruise that caters to families is
going to have families.

You are having a conversation with a TROLL!!!
sue
Were you on the cruise with them? From your previous posts, I would
assume that you have no children. (THANK GOD FOR THE CHILDREN THAT
DON'T HAVE PARENTS LIKE YOU)! And I say that in a most sincere way.
>Again, I'm curious. If the cruise ships have all sorts of amenities to
>encourage people to bring their kids and babies along, why is it
>unacceptable to bring a kid on a cruise ship?
Because they drool at the table, they poop in the hot tub, they cry
all nite long, they aren't nearly as cute as GrandMommy thinks, they
poop in the pool, they breast feed in public, and they never pick up a
tab.
>You need to either go to an adults only resort, or find an 'adults
>only cruise'
You need to keep your kid at home and stop being so unbelievably
self-centered.

Wrong.

And In a most sincere way, I express my total distaste for people like
you who disrupt adults like me and my mate just b/c you are too cheap
to hire a babysitter or wait, like I did, until my kids are grown to
do grown up things.

sue, kevie is calling you. Brother wants some goodies.
Your mate? Is that another name you have for your lesbian lover?
