No, Carnival will not likely do this. The Legend is a great ship.

This is where a good TA earns his/her keep big time. We had booked a
14 day Canal tranit on Carnival last year. Then later, they had a
major sale. I got a lfyer from another cruise booking place showing
the same class of cabin for a couple hundred less and $99 airfar
(Booking it myself was going to be about $300 each, so paying $200
sure looked good).
I got on the horn to Ray here and he taslked to Carnival and got the
lowered price and the airfare deal for us. Now I thinkt his was
before we had paid the ifnald eposit but even so I am appreciative
that Carnival was willing to honor the offer. And in fact we kept our
pre-selected cabin, didn't evne have to retreat to a guarentee,w hich
I think the sale was for.
The Internet-only-almost-never-talk-to-a-human, web sites may nor may
not go to bat for you, I don't know, but I do honestly beleive you'll
get more juice with a live travel agent who works with you, knows
you'll come back if the service is good and who genuinely cares about
each booking and who can work the people ont he other end, again due
to longstandfing personal relations with the companies involved.
I also have great confidence that Ray will be there if something goes
boompf at the last moment and will do his darndest to fix any
glitches. That to me is peace of mind worth a good deal.
