Hello ALL

I have been so busy, so sorry I have not had this up sooner.
to see Pictures of this ship go to www.cruiseoutlets.com to the left
there is a section that says NEW pictures.

We went to NYC to catch this one before it left for Florida-
Ship is Carnivals LArgest

We had a inside Stateroom and it was very comfortable. Beds were comfy
and linens were nice. Ample closet space, We did have A fridge but it
was locked. I assume since this was a non revenue sailing
( TA's,investors and media) they did not want us taking that stuff out
of the Fridge LOL, Tv was interactive and you could order yummy things
from Room Service.
We did a scavenger hunt to get to know the ship, We visited a inside,
Oceanview, quint, COve balcony, and they had a few Suites but they did
not keep them open long enough. But Carnivals suotes really do not
excite me, a bigger room per se, not as nice as RCCL's suites, now
that is a suite... BUT the ship was nicer then most Carnival ships,
Decor was a bit more classier, not as dark as some ships, and the
Elevator areas were NICE AND WIDE and had 16 elevators in some of the
areas!

Pool area was very ncie and that Super slide was a OMG!!!! Kids will
have a blast! there was a back aft pool quiet and Hottub there too.

Spa area and Gym were nice typical spa areas, smells so nice however
they have a thassoletherapy pool and spa- ( $20 a day or $99 a week)
Theater- That is one room I did not like, VERY uncomfy seats and if
your on the Plus size very uncomfy upstairs, SO go sit on the bottom
floor of the theatre they had bigger seats. but wow they were not
comfy, and some bad sight lines. Show was Ok. I have seen better, My
SO enjoyed it.
Casino was nice and large,
FUNHUB is a place where you can use the computers to get the Cruise
Capers paper ( think that is what they all it) online or to set up a
FACEBOOK type thingy for your cruise and people your with can find
where you are by you corresponding with them. Or you can use them for
your normal emails Cost was not cheap though...
Dining room- Getting there is what really perplexes me, its like
herding cattle I do not like tht setup but it is the same for most of
carnivals ships.
FOOD - Absolutely WONDERFUL What a suprise they ahve outbeaten RCCL
for sure- I had prime rib melted in my mouth, My SO had Lobster and
Jumbo shrimp cooked to perfection... Desserts and soups wonderful.
Breakfast in Dining room was wonderful Eggs benedict was quite yummy
and the Corned beef hash yummy.
I know I am missing something, BUT it was a GREAT ship. Check out the
pictures!

Now I am outta here time for the Oasis and the Westerdam... VIKINGS
wait til you see the Tee shirts

Thanks for the review, I enjoyed reading it. You can't beat the prime
rib, lobster or seafood on Carnival, but I think Celebrity has become my
favorite cruise line. I like the excitement of Royal Caribbean's
ships. There is something good about all of them, though.

Have fun on the Oasis!

Well, Becca, I'm going to try. When the four of us hit Tampa
after year's end for the cruise, I'm taking along my own food and
cooking it in the room on a hot plate. The bride's suitcase is
now rubber lined and will be filled with lobster and shrimp, while
mine will hold the ribs, pork butt and steaks. My smoker won't
fit, but I'm going to use wood chips in aluminum foil to get that
smoky edge to the food. Shrimp and lobster will be both grilled
and if desired, boiled in the ice bucket that's in our room.

Our plan is to visit the Lido deck to score vegetables and salads,
then return to the cabin for cooking the meat. With one of the
four of us being a very accomplished dessert cook, pies and cakes
baked in the bath tub should be terrific as well.

The floor is level.

If you wrote a "How To" cookbook, it might be a big seller. ;-)

I agree, Becca. Also Nonny needs to give me a second lesson on how to
load the dishwasher. I just don't seem to get it right. Bill was an
expert, and Nonny tried to teach me.

Loading the dishwasher is a puzzle. That is one of the best features of
cruising; no cooking or dish washing.
