After Convoy was lost in space by Destron's trap, Convoy
team was sent to the planet Gaea, the source of mysterious
energy. Attacked by Destron, their ship was crashlanded to
the Gaea. To maintain their own life from the rusting
atmosphere, they got beast-mode. Cybertron fight for
protecting the Angolmois Energy from Destron.

Led by Galvatron and MegaStorm, Combatron arrived the
Gaea to construct the invincible fortress with Angolmois
Energy, the mysterious energy of the planet.
To fight Cybertron, they downloaded the data of weapons
from the supercomputer that they discovered in the ruin of
Gaea.

Episode 2 described the battle of LioConvoy and Galvatron,
both guided to the ruin ( that reminds me of the ruined
Tokyo ) by a visionary dream. Tasmania Kid tries to
support LioConvoy, but Galvatron breaks LioConvoy's
Energeon Matrix ...
Episode 3 describes the battle of LioConvoy (possesed by
the power of Angolmois Energy) and Galvatron. At last
LioConvoy defeats Galvatron, but he still keeps fighting.
At the moment, a gorilla-shaped Transformer ( "the
legendary Convoy" ) appears to repair LioConvoy's Energeon
Matrix. This episode reveals the Matrix (Energeon Matrix)
is the symbol of Cybertron leaders.
Episode 4 is a love-comedy of BigHorn and Scylle. BigHorn
asks Scuba to write a love-letter for him, but Scylle
misunderstands the squid guy is BigHorn ...
Episode 5 introduces the new Cybertron commander STARUPPER.
In fact, he's a retired boxer pretending himself as a new
commander ... seeing Cybertrons injured, his fighting spirit
flares again to protect his "subordinates".

Most of them know of the origonal Transformers. It wasn't that long ago. I
wouldn't call it common but many young kids even my 10 year old brother Know
all about Optimus Prime and that hes not the same as Primal, also about how
Unicron is a big mean planit thing and StarScream is a dork. Hasbro however
has a worse memory then many of the 7-13 year olds that still know of the G1
and G2 Transformers as well as the BW. Also thanks to the internet some of them
even know of Japans BW2 and wish they had some.

Well, a lot of their "bad memory" is actually preference given to those charac->

whose toys are currently on the market. IOW, standard business procedure. Yes,
it'd be nice if they gave a bow to the G1 appearances in BW by coming up with
appropriate G1-character toys, but that requires more advance planning than the
time they gave the BW writers to do their scripts for the season.

Most of them were my Half Brothers school friends and some of the other kids in
his neighborhood. Now I wouldn't say they were a professionaly rounded up kids
of a 100 or more but I would say about 25 little brats. He has much more
friends then I do (in fact almost any one has more friends then I do) :) Also
when I wonder around the toy stores some kids and parents usly talk to me about
the Beast Wars toys I'm franticly grabing. I'm often sirpised how even many
adults know about the G1 TFs, Now I wouldn't say they are like us TransFans but
they have some knowlege.
Some kids even ask me if I heard of Botcon.

My younger bro actuly thinks I'm a dork when I start talking about the Japanese
Transformers so I just wait till he talks to me if he has a question. Now I
don't really think his friends brothers and sisters were TransFans, most of
these kids are like gangsters and into Hardcore stuff so I think that leaves
out the TransFan older sibling.

Very true... But some times corperations would give kids more credit then they
give them. Im not saying that they need to bring back all of G1 (or Laser
Prime), they could do exclusives just like the way the show does little cameos
from time to time. Kenner is really in to producing exclusives, Just look at
most of the Batman and Star Wars toys... Most of them have nothing to do with
the core line... So some transfomable and non-transformable 7 ince ArCee,
Alpha-Trion, Orion-Pax, Elita-1,BW Ravege, Transmutate, ect. ect.and maybe some
non-transformable 10 ince action figures of Primus and Unicron wouldn't be to
much to ask if they were promted limeted editions.
Just a thought.

Here it's more likely word-of-mouth, especially for ULTRAMAN. MASKED RIDER is a
recent enough import that some kids will know it now, but chances are most
Americans hadn't heard of it before then. As for Godzilla, well, there's that
Tristar thing that came out not long ago.... :-S
I guess American equivalents would be things like Superman and Batman, which are
fairly consistently in the public eye, though not in the same way Ultraman and
Kamen Rider are. TFs don't quite have the 40- or 50-plus-year history the cla->

Well, that's why I spelled it with an "o". If the name had been "Surastaa", I'd
have translated it as "Thruster". It's pretty arbitrary, I realize. I would ->

transliterate "Cheetor" as "Chiitaa", for example, but "Chiitoa" or "Chiitohru".
Just my personal preference.
