Anyone interested in putting together a r.t.l code? They seem to be
cropping up everywhere, even on a cat-lovers group.

I was thinking about this. Maybe I'll give it a try tonight.

I'd given it some thought yesterday. Here's what I got so far:

Like the Geek code, that starts with Geek and what flavor geek you are, it'd
start with M for Maniac, and what flavor Maniac you are:
MC Castle Maniac
MT Town Maniac
MP Pirate Maniac
MS Space Maniac
ME Technic (Expert Builder) Maniac
MA Underwater Maniac
MR Train (railroad) Maniac
MB Boat Maniac
ML Lego Maniac

Alternately, we could skip that and do various ratings. An example rating
would be:

S: Space. Some Lego Maniacs are into Space sets.
S++++ I Am Todd Lehman
S+++ Just a few more sets to go.
S++ I've got LL928
S+ I know what LL928 is
S I have a couple of space sets
S- I dislike space.
S-- Space sets are the original evil. In the beginning, only
the space people carried weapons. Space people keep playing
Lego Wars.
S--- _My_ ABS figures stay where they can breathe, thank you.

More stuff would be rtlisms, like:

A: Auctions. Auctions are one way of making sure you don't get the lego
set you want.

A++++ I financed my wedding via an auction
A+++ I spend oodles on auctions each year, and sell oodles by
auctions to pay for it.
A++ I've sold a few items in an auction
A+ Auctions are a great idea! I may have even bought a set in one.
A Enh.
A- Would you at least put the word 'Auction' in the title so
I can killfile 'em easy?
A-- Money-grubbing sales-mongering scum! I hate auctions!
A--- I unsubscribed from the group once 'cause of all the auctions

Whatcha think?

I like this one! Hmmm. I'm an A++. But can we make A+, 'auctions
are necessary evil. I don't hold them, but I'll bid in one if I
have to."?

Darn, though, my code is already at 80 chars. I guess it's time to
go to a 2-line code, but I'd like to keep mine at one line. Maybe
I'll drop the 'Holes' bit in my code.

Sure. :) I'm still brainstorming. :)

I don't think the geek or the cat code will fit in a line. :) (the cat code
might, and I may have just seen people with more'n one cat. :) )

I'm not too sure about this, since some people have already shown a dislike
for the favorite themes idea.

I like this, but I think it would get to be a little too long. But if
enough people like it, I'll add it.

This I really like. It's going straight in the code I've started (if you
don't mind?).

How about something for those that LOVE auctions, but NEVER hold
them?

Yeah. This sounds like a good idea. Now, who is willing to take time away
from building and playing with their Lego to put the code together?

Fred.

Yeah, most of us would have picked the "ML" (Lego Maniac) type...

Go for it. More as I get a chance to think about it. :)
