Grrr...

Everytime I get on here and read a few postings. I just get all antsy and
distracted. I can't wait to check Big K (formerly K-Mart), Target, and TRU
on my way home. I never get any work done anymore! Not to mention that I'm
running out of money.

Ah, another user addicted to that insidious substance, lego. You see,
victims exhibit classic symptoms of Compulsive-Obsessive Lego Disorder (COLD).

This is it. You can get what you need to support the habit right
here. Not your normal type of support group, but hey! <g>

There use to be. But they all voted to disband when they realized that
the group meetings were taking too much time away from Lego.

I think you've got LEGO fever - there hasn't been a cure found yet.

Get help now. Or, head to the toy store and buy a LEGO set. It'll
make you feel better. ;-)

I was reading rec.toys.action-figures earlier to find Micronauts (I buy those
if you have any--plug) and read a signature by one of their guys that read:

There is a fine line between a hobby and mental illness!

I remember micronauts! I always wanted the micronaut pnumatic tube set, but
my parents always said no. I had that goofy ship with the hand-guns for
wings. Those were great until they started glueing the bullets into the guns.
Some kid must have (insert urban legend here) or something. I couldn't wait
to shoot a lego classic space minifig through the tube.

I got that for Christmas one year. I had accumulated a few other
Micronauts toys and that was the grand-daddy - I felt like a king. But,
it ended up being a real Christmas morning bummer, since it didn't work
nearly so well as the commercials portrayed. We ended up returning it
to Sears because it sucked. But not very well. ;-)

Oh how I waited to get that ship. And yeah, it was a real birthday
bummer. I ended up removing the motor and batteries, so it was
easy to lift and zoom around the room.

If you ask me, Throwbots have a real Micronaut feel to them. I've been
mounting the shooting missiles from the Cyberslam sets on them.
They look good on Turbo in place of the long fins.

My Lego disorder is the dreaded RAVENOUS HUNGER!!!
When I least expect it tis comes over me to destroy a set for some pieces I
need. I pounce upon the set clawing for the desired pieces. I leave the rest in
shamble to be destroyed and sorted later. I never calmly dismember something ,
it's always the poucing attack. Last Reported Victim: The pined for by many,
ever famous, yellow castle. Sometimes I'll make a new design like I did with my
STB and Ninja Suprise.....

When will the craving strike you?

I think instead of that micronaut set I ended up with the slot car set
with the glow-in-the-dark snake track that year. I guess it was good that I
didn't get the micronaut sucker after all. :-) That was about the time I got
my Big Track.

Well, thats a pretty profound sig...
BTW, I have this old Micronauts figure, he is white with reddish orange
accessories. (I trade Star Wars toys (and maybe Micronauts) for Legos -
plug)

I know what you mean, I did that to my Star Hawk II this morning. Five
parts have been stolen for five different projects. It's now an
unflyable junkheap held together in a mishmash.
