They're good, solid boats. We have used them at our club for several
years and my experience is that they have great slalom wakes (maybe a
little of the traditional bump at 22 off). We put alot of hours on the
boat and all of the major mechanical and structural areas are still in
great shape. I also think the the MB's we've had are excellent in
handling, tracking and power.
Now the bad news. Every MB we've owned had some problems with some of
the "features" or conveniences like the tachometer and fuel guage, both
of which are pretty important to us. We ended up replacing the tach with
a non-factory unit after several bad one from MB. Also, the quality and
depth of Gelcoat finish is nowhere near as good as our Ski Nautique and
it really shows after a year of use. The Nautique still looks brand new
but the MB shows haze and dulling on the top. Both boats receive
excellent care and are always in the boathouse AND covered when not in
use. Our current MB is 2 years old and about to be replaced, so maybe
they've improved the finish since them.
I really like the boat overall, and would probably consider owning one
myself if I didn't already have a boat.

Share what you know. Learn what you don't.
They use PCM engines which guarantees no vapor lock.
They use good materials in their construction.
They are all fiberglass with aluminum reinforcing on the engine mounts
so they should hold up a good while.
I am still not really an advocate of butt fitting the Deck and Hull like
MB does. I think a shoe box fit is more robust and less likely to fail
because a production problems. I have never heard of an MB Boat having a
problem in this area, but I don't have warm fuzzies about this.
Skiablity:
The ProBoss 190 has a great slalom wake with no spray, but it is no
wakeboard boat judging by other people. I don't wakeboard yet.
Resale:
MB does not have the resale of MC, CC or Malibu, but you might be able
to buy it cheap enough going in, that this isn't an issue.
I think MB Boats look pretty good for the most part. Cosmetically I
don't like the rear vents, the cheap looking glove box and a few other
nick nacks, but they make a good boat and you would probably be happy
with one short and long term.

I ski a MB with accuski at a local Tournament and IMO it is a nice tow boat.
The short ends on this small lake requires an agile boat that can get to
speed quickly. The MB handles a tight lake effortlessly.

My 99 (190) is awesome! The combination of the GM block, the four blade prop
and the low drag hull make it one of the quickest ski boats on the lake and
a fine skier.
I have skied (and driven) the MC, SN and Malibu 99's and the MB is as good
or better than all of them.
The fit and finish on my 99 is stunning. The gel coat is good, the detailing
excellent and the vinyl work the best on the water.
Frankly, it's one of the best slalom/jump boats out there. We use it some
for barefooting where the power and hole shot are great, but there is some
wash at 60 foot. Had to lengthen the line to 75.
I have a skylon and one (rear) fat sack. With that combination it is a good
but not great wakeboarding boat. If I were to do serious wakeboarding with
it I would get another two sacks, one for each side of the engine. The good
news is that the 300 hp throttle bottle efi powered PCM engine and the four
blade prop make holding wakeboard speeds, no matter the load in the boat
easy requiring only moderate throttle modulation.
