No.
You wouldn't want to go there.
Beware small grey alumin fishing boats, practically invisible in
the morning mist carrying people in drab clothing and usually RIGHT
where you want to ski.

There is a cove just northeast of the 720 bridge in Little Elm.
Its pretty well protected except for WSW winds.
Its also right across from the Little Elm ramp and park so there's ez
access.
Might hafta arm wrestle some of the fishermen tho.
We've been goin up to Ray Roberts more these days.

I live in Little Elm and we are always looking for people to ski with. Live
on the lake, so I can't really bring myself to schlep out to the Brazos or
even up to Ray Hubbard. We had skied a lot during the 1st part of the
summer in LE, then they built that marina in some of the best water on the
lake... I'm not exactly sure where Brad is talking about. I've never been
able to find a spot northeast of the bridge, and I've felt that the cove
directly across from the ramp is questionable. I have found a few good
spots around the lake. Actually, around LE, going up past the new marina is
good, but you do have to keep an eye out for the trees this time of year. I
skied there frequently in the mid summer after they put up the no wake
signs, and actually, the trees made me ski better by keeping my eyes down
the lake instead of my usual tendency to look down or at my dog.

I don't know what side of the lake you are on, but if you go west of 35, on
the south side of the lake there is a spot that is IDEAL. You could put a
course in there. One small, no, make that big, problem are those
rat-bastard JetSkiers who feel the neccessity to muck up the glass rather
than venture out into the choppy water that they want anyway. I suspect if
you could hit this cove early in the a.m., it'd be sweet. I've never been
there early, cause my wife doesn't like skiing as much as I, so I can't get
her out of the rack at 0.dark-thirty. Don't know what the homeowners would
do skiing that early there...

If you or anyone on the board is interested in hooking up, drop me an
e-mail. dave...@earthlink.net. Hoping to find enough people to start a
Lake Lewisville club, and maybe we could get some political clout to talk to
the Army Corps...

Take it easy,
Dave

Well howdy - I live in LE too -on Woodrow Cir - about where you ski 'round
the stumps.
I was losin a prop or 2 a year so we quit goin there.
Russ used to have a course in that cove off the bridge behind his house.
As you are leaving town and crossing the bridge its about 2 o'clock.
Between Highland Dr. and Shahan Prairie.
Either way we prefer Ray Roberts by a long shot.
