Hyperlite vs WakeTech 69 vs Neptune

I want to update my wakeboard and I was hoping for some opinions on the three
boards that I am considering. I have been riding an old HO Hyperlite
(original version from several years back) and want a board that rides fakie
better and that may help with big air tricks. I weigh about 150 lbs and board
at 18 mph. I am considering three boards that I think are good deals and would
appreciate opinions on both the boards and the prices.
Board one: 1994 HO Hyperlite Shapiro w/ boots (last years not the AirShocks)

Board two: 1995 Wake Tech 69 w/ Anti-gravity boots
Price - $320.00
Board three: 1995 Neptune six w/ 3/4 wrap boots
Price - $325.00
Any opinions on any of these boards would be greatly appreciated!! Also, does
anyone have opinions on adjustable plates/bindings versus boots? I am used to
riding a wakeboard with just the adjustable straps, but prefer highwraps
(double) on my skis (slalom, trick and jump). Thanks in advance for any
help!!

aggressively. A twin tip board I believe is the way to go. It just makes too much sence.
Naturally you would want to ride revert as well as you ride normal and a symetrical twin
does just that. Over the last few weeks I demo'ed a Wake Tech 69, a Neptune Six and
a HO Twin 142cm. The HO by far was the best.
- The 69 was a hog, it drags through the water (it did pump my arms up though) and
did't have the pop the HO had, the boots where crap also no cushion just a slab of hard
rubber (a good way to hurt your ankle or knee).
- The Neptune Six didn't have a front fin like the other two boards, it's a thick board and
edged much like old Septor. The boots are nice and comfortable with thick contured
rubber pads.
- The HO with the air shock plates is da-shit. It edges like a fiend and pops like a rocket.
It has a front fin. The boots by far will set new standards. The energy absorbing aluiminum
base along with the thick rubber pads absorb a lot of the energy from take off too landing
saving your knees and ankles. M&E Marine has them for $369 for the board with the air shock
boot.

probably be able to knock off the price of the rental from whichever board
you choose (which will probably be the 69, cos' the current world champ
chose it and the rest are unfashionable copies).

Don't get it. Get this years model with the new boots. They are both MUCH
MUCH MUCH better. Don't even think about getting the old one. I have this
board and like it quite a lot. Gives extremely good lift off the wake.

I also have got this beast but use the boots from my Shapiro on it. (Can't
use both at the same time!) Seems kind of sacriligeous to put Hyperlite
boots on a WakeTech board but what the hell. I also carry it in a
Hyperlite bag. Tant pis waketech! This board is absolutely fabolous for
riding fakie and landing revert tricks. Not as good for getting lift as
the shapiro, which might be why all the WakeTech guys use skylons....JK!

Never have ridden one. Heard good and bad things. Can't count on what you
hear though. Try out all three first hand. If your dealer won't let you,
then go someplace that will. BTW> The price on the Flight69 is very good.
I bought mine blank for $220. A pair of boots is more than 100 bux.

your feet. This board does require more expertise than the 69 to do simple surface tricks on. I own
both and ride both. The 69 is more forgiving for novice riders like myself but most of the guys that
demo at our shop like the speed and pop of the shapiro. The six is good if your over 175lbs. HO has
new twins that are really easy to do everything on but the Shapiro is far faster and lands much softer
fakie than any twin because of less surface area on the tip. Darin can carve harder that any man
alive and it helped him set another record this weekend and take his third tournament in a row. He is
coming to Colorado for a clinic this July. If you would like to find out more, EMAIL me and I will gladly

you its better then the 69 or the Six because I haven't tried them. They
must be good, Byerly goes huge! So I'll just tell you what I do know.
The Shapiro board is awsome. I got the Air shock power boots and they
are fantastic. They really take the shock out of landing. Great boots I
highly
recommend them! The board carves hard and goes BIG!!! I've gone so high
on this board the first time I almost dumped in my wet suit (take an
extra).
This board has improved my riding(flying) 200%.
Before buying demo all three first the right board for me might not be the
right
board for you.

has, always will be. I have a six and love it, but I have heard great
things about the 69. You can't go wrong. Just see which bindings fit
better.
