My SNOB was cutting out in cold weather and going into the limp mode.
Since it was about this time of year, with the water close to 32 degrees
this didn't feel really good. However, as you can imagine this was a
difficult problem for the dealer (Seager Marine of Canandaigua NY) to
reproduce. They spent a significant amount time trying to find the
problem, and I'm sure they froze their butts off (even ran out of gas,
since I didn't tell them that the gas gauge was a little flakey,
actually come to think of it they fixed it for free too). To make a
long story short they could never reproduce the problem. However, they
still contacted PCM (I think Correct Craft was also involved) and
replaced the electronic module for free! I found this amazing. I never
missed a single day of skiing, they fixed the problem, and they did it
for free, even though the part was not under warranty and they could not
confirm the problem. Furthermore, all my dealings with Seager Marine
have been very good ones. They understand I want to ski and usually do
any minor repairs rapidly and they do a good job. Not that the boat
needs a lot, mostly dumb stuff I do to it.
Now I did buy the boat from them, but I also got an outstanding deal,
and Art a saleperson there is a very nice guy and easy to deal with. I
highly recommend Seager Marine, PCM and Correct Craft. I hope that soon
I can give them my business again by buying a new SNOB. Isn't that how
it is supposed to work?
