Hi guys,

I have seen tv shows that had this seemingly 500 foot high sand hill
in Huntington beach that everyone uses for training and conditioning.
Do any of you know where this is exactly? any help is appreciated.
thanks.

I believe it is in Manhattan Beach.

Sorry but I don't live there. When I was visiting, a friend drove me by
there and explained to me that many of the local and even pro football teams
(let alone volleyball players) use it as a training tool. I had no urge to
climb it as it looked rather narley. I remember it was a several blocks off
the beach and if you ran up the hill you were actually running towards the
beach. Surely someone here must know the exact location.

There is a place in Manhattan Beach just like this. I don't know if
there is one in Huntington Beach also. The name of the one in
Manhattan escapes my mind at the momment. I used to live there, so I
know where it is. If the name comes to me I'll let you know. I can
picture it perfectly in my mind. It's one of those things where it's
on the tip of my tongue, but I can't remember it. Hopefully, it will
come back to me.

Smurf, Mike & Jennifer:

The place in Manhattan Beach is called Sand Dune Park. Take the
Rosecrans exit off of the 405. Head toward the beach (west.) About
half a mile from the beach you can look over and see the hill on your
left. All bases are covered as there is a playground for the kids and
and a National Guard armament building next to the hill. Be careful
about how and where you park. The locals have been trying to impose
restrictions due to the high volume of traffic in and around the area.
They will tow your car in a heartbeat....

I used to drive by it every day on the way to work. I remember 33rd St
on the east side of the hill will lead to it. In an interview Holly
McPeak said she's never been able to run all the way up it - though
she's still trying I guess.
