Just saw the following on ESPNET:

"Injunction Reverses Firing of Volleyball Coach"

Anyone possibly have some information on this subject? Who is the coach?
What school?

Unforunately, ESPNET has gone to a subscription basis and some articles
can only be viewed if you are a subscriber and have a password. It's kind
of ironic that this is one of the first vball articles they've put on their service,
and you can't even look at it unless you pay them whatever amount of $$$$
per year. Oh well.... that's capitalism for you.

Anyway, any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

I believe the ESPNET was referring to the reversal of USA Volleyball's ban
of Rick Butler. There was an article on it in last Thursday or Friday's
L.A. Times. Although the article does not directly state so, it appears
that the court overturned the ban on procedural due process grounds, i.e.,
the USAV failed to follow the guidelines set forth in its bylaws in ruling
on Butler's case. If anyone can provide further details on this, I'd sure
be interested in hearing them. To those of you in the VB community to
whom I've been bitching about the importance of having well-written bylaws
and following them, . . . SEEEEEE!
