You don't need imagination: check out LBSU Haneef, 6'6" and LMU McFarland
6'6" and I think a few taller around Texas somewhere.
It seems that there are a lot of volleyball players over 6ft5. Are there
others? I believe that a person that tall has to be more athletic playing
volleyball rather than basketball.

Note that while the vast majority of players are between 5-8 and 6-1,
large portions of the population are outside what appears to be the
first standard deviation. In addition, those on the lower end are
more numerous then those on the high end.
I also find it intetesting that the number of 5-11 players are
outnumbered by both 6-0 and 5-10 players. I would guess that either
roster sheets are adjusted for this group or 5-11 players are losing
roster spots as 'tweeners'. (i.e. to short for this, to slow for that,
blah, blah, blah )

The facts of life in volleyball are exactly the same as in basketball and that
is YOU CAN'T TEACH HEIGHT. Most coaches believe that if they have a 6ft3(or in
Alana Renaud's case 6ft10) girl, they can teach her the fundamentals of the
game. Of course, that isn't the case. I have done some coaching in both
basketball and volleyball and once had a 6ft6 15 yr old girl who I thought I
could teach play the game. Fortunately she was an A student, because she
couldn't spike, couldn't slam dunk nor even jump 3 inches off the floor. But
when we see someone that tall, we hope, we pray and we believe we can make a
star out of them.

I'd guess it's roster tweeking... I'm 5'11 and one half inch, and people
come up to me all the time and insist that I'm 6'1... it seems like once a
person gets into the 5'11 range, they feel free to pad it up an inch or
so.
