The recent thread about Polar battery replacement reminded me of something I
saw here some time ago about replacing batteries in the chest strap. I looked
in Deja News and found several posts asking if it could be done, but didn't see
any offering instructions. Mainly, I'd like to know where to cut so I don't cut
anything that can't be easily replaced. I have a dead strap that I'd like to
experiment with - I realize a repaired strap might not be as watertight as a
new one, but if I can fix it well enough to train with, I can extend the life
of my other one. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Found the site myself:

(This isn't a link, I just copied the site name)

Not sure if my electrician skills are sufficient, but since the old strap is
dead anyway there's really nothing to lose.

At least I thought it wasn't a link...
