Here is a cool way to train - sleep in an altitude chamber. I just saw a
cool web site about this (www.altitudetraining.com). Apparently when you
sleep at altitude your body makes more red blood cells and that increases
VO2 max and power output. These things aren't cheap, but the results look
impressive for people who race seriously.

I've also tried sticking a pillow or plastic bag over my head when I sleep to
simulate an oxygen depraved environment. For some reason I just keep passing
out!
