Clydesdale Nationals??

Help, I'm confused.

I had understood that this year the National Championship race for
Clydesdale triathletes was supposed to be held a Mrs. T's. However, in
perusing the results from last weekend's USAT Nats, I see that there were
indeed Clydesdale divisions included there.

Huh??

What gives? If this really was the nationals for Clydes, how/when were
Clydes supposed to find out about this and qualify?

Not that I could have gone this year (and after reading the Florida horror
stories, I would have been just as glad in any case!). I'm just wondering
if the promotion of Clydesdales to official status within USAT has been
accelerated.

Anybody know more about this?
