If you can find one, buy "Dave Scott's Triathlon Training" that came out in 1986. (Simon and
Schuster)
It contains a load of information including a table of calories burned swimming, cycling, and
running by body weight and pace.
swimming a 22 min mile goes from 13 to 22 calories per minute for body weight from 100 to 240
pounds. You should be able to interpolate with this info. The increase is linear.
