GCT Expo - thanks

the Gulf Coast Triathlon Expo. We appreciate those that took the time to
introduce themselves as being from the newsgroup. It is nice to match a
face with a name. It was a busy expo for us and we appreciate your
support.
I know that some come to the expo looking for lots of good deals. Maybe
at some of the other booths that bring older merchandise they are trying
to get rid of, you will find bargains. Our goal is to bring the NEW
clothes and accessories - not outdated. I have some people that look for
a "better price" at the expo but I feel that is unfair to our regular
customers. I don't see the expo as a garage sale. We did not discount
the 2000 wetsuits we brought because in the end, we don't discount the
service we try to provide. I know that we sized many athletes that only
went to other booths to purchase a wetsuit that was discounted. But-
when they later have a problem with that suit- they will find the
service they paid for.
We also noticed many vendors pack up before the end of the advertised
expo schedule We did start to pack up early since most had left already
but we were there to the end so we were able to handle returns and
exchanges on the last day of the expo. Had one customer last year want
us to take care of the wetsuit she realized was torn - but she bought it
cheaper from a vender that had packed up and left early. She got what
she paid for. We have that situation at each expo - one that expects us
to exchange an item they did not purchase from us. All I can say is
"take it up with the one you purchased it from". It is not our fault
they left early. But- I will take care of those that do support us.
Again, thanks to all of our customers and people who took the time to
introduce themselves. We are tired and still unpacking. If you have a
problem with something purchased from us, please let us know. I am now
sorting through the orders that came in and processing them at this
time.
To all those that competed in the race- congratulations. I know it was a
rough one. Just a shame the water was pretty the day after the race. It
was even calmer on Monday morning when we left.
