Does any RST'ers own one of these bikes? Has anyone heard any + or -
comments about Aegis? I just received the 1999 Tri bide reviews in
Triathlete Mag...The Aegis is the coolest looking of the bunch; but
unfortunately...well you know the saying.

Let me know.

griffen bicycles were not in the review because Craig Turner has a problem with
Griffen ( not sure why), but they offer a lifetime warrenty on their areo
frames and a very competitive price. $1795.00 full aeo frame-set. Look at our
ad in the triathlete marketplace

Aegis the design company of the trek oclv frame, has put into production its
own tri bike the triton.
Carbon fiber and a mere 2.4 lbs, its my bike of choice. Mine is being custom
painted as we speak. Look at www.aegisbicycles.com for more information. You
can also have aegis custom paint it for you.
No matter what you do tri hard.

While we're at it, does anyone know why "they" continue to ignore Javelin
frames? These are very nice bikes at very good prices, yet they never seem
to get mentioned in "their" magazine. Just curious

good point-
check out www.griffenbike.com

very trick frames- very aero, light, strong--
custom geometries available-
too bad they weren't used as a comparison-
i'm sure many of our "tri" bike companies probably wouldn't have liked it!

Susan,

While I am not sure who "they" are, I will say that Craig Turner and Nytro are
proponents of the Javelin frame sets. This support can be found on their site
and in their shop when conferring on recommended sources of equipment. From
what I have seen, and in the opinion of those more learned in these areas that
I, it is an excellent frame and tremendous value.
