...some great tennis from both of them. Schiavone couldn't catch a break at
the end of the 2nd....really thought it was going 3. Especially the umpire
not looking at the correct mark when the ball was out and woulda given
Schiavone a SP. Overall though, Li Na just too strong.

Well done Li Na.....or as the oncourt French commentator called her "La
Ni"...lol.

She looked at the right mark, at the same mark as Schiavone.
Are you blind?

It was the correct mark and simply the umpire thought the ball touched
the line and
Schiavone thought it didn't. Li Na deserve to win she was the better
player and
should really finish the match earlier. She had all the chances to
close out the match
like 4,1 or 4,2 with all those chances.

Not too memorable final, but I am really happy Li Na won! She was just
WAYTOOGOOD until 6-4, 4-2. Then a little blip and it almost went to
third set. Then a great tie-break.

I think she is pretty much the 2nd best player at the moment, with 1
slam + 1 final.

I think 'at the moment' she is actually the best player :-)

She has beat both the fake and true #1 players this year so I guess she can
stake a claim...

She actually said couple of years ago or so, when she first entered top 10, that
her next goal is #1. Hey, why not?
