instead of stomping nole in that 1st game in the 2nd set, to give
himself a cushion, he goes into veteran tennis mode again...

Nope, fed is peaklevel out there. It's incredible. But Nole can go to
a level that Federer has and never will be able to compete with namely
GOD mode.

Djokovic has extremely efficient machine mode, but he will never have
God mode.

nothing like the time-honored perjorative "stop [taking] drugs."
Everyone knows that all forms of changing your mental state is bad,
bad, bad. Everyone knows whomever changes their mental state is
wrong, wrong, wrong.

A few here might benefit from drugs...but then given their mindset
they'd probably
panic and end up in the emergency ward with panic attacks.

It is widely assumed that anyone who has ever used drugs has probably
destroyed their
capacity for rational thinking....the same holds true for anybody who
has ever tried drinking
beer.

So...it doesn't really matter if the Higgs-Boson has truly been
identified....prevalent modes of thinking
will ensure that nothing positive will come of the discovery.

nole played poorly, not sure why, he seemed to revert to the "nervous
nole" mode of yrs ago. tense weak shots for most part.

but either way, fed served very well and it wasn't close, and as i've
been saying for 2 yrs, federer is near his peak level and he's
supremely motivated for 1 more wimbledon.

he executed what is in reality an entire year's gameplan to
perfection, and he deserves bigtime credit for that. he has at least
2/3 chance to beat either guy in final.

Federer will not have an easy go of it against either Tsonga or
Murray. Murray is quietely playing really good tennis right now and
Tsonga has the power to blow Fed off the court.

Really, if either Tsonga or Murray play their best, they will beat
Federer. I give Federer a 55% chance of winning just because either of
them is likely to experience nerves and thus not play their best.

LOL!!! Really? It's not 2011 anymore. Them days is gone.

I guess you were too young to have watched peak Fed in 2005-2007. That
was Über-God mode. Better hope that Fed doesn't show up on Sunday or
Muzz is going to have one hell of a match on his hands.

Bob, I disagree yet again that Fed is anywhere near his peak mode of
years ago.

Peak Fed was 15% faster and moved to his FH like a gazelle. Now he
moves to his running FH like a crippled water buffalo in comparison to
now. Fed's ROS was also far, far more lethal at his peak. He returned
Roddick's 140 MPH bombs with a flick of his wristin his prime and
inpressure situations. Finally, his net play is atrocious now. He used
to be a very competent volleyer. He can't get down to low balls well
anymore.

But it didn't matter today. HA!

the 7 wimbledons gets tied, not broken.

the wks #1 surely will be broken. still, ye#1 is more relevant there
though, IMO.

Courty, don't you agree Fed will be the prohibitive fave for the
final. I would prefer him to play Tsonga but in his current form,
fugeddabout it.

at least 2/3 chance, maybe more. the only way fed loses final:
1. tsonga has a flukey red hot match
2. murray feeds off of crowd and they bother fed

Another little-noticed stat (especially ignored by Noletards) is that
Federer is now the first player to beat Djokovic at all 4 slams.
LOL!!

Muzz is playing really well but Tsonga is a clown. I'm impressed with
Andy's lack of UE's and his forehand today.

Yes, yr-end No.1 is the ultimate no.1 record. It means you were No.1
for another calendar year. Weeks at no.1 is a much lesser accolade. No
point asking Fedfuckers what they think - most of them are delusional &
mentally ill, in that anything that favors Fed is the ultimate record.
Complete bozos so just don't engage them.

Yes, you can't discount that experience. Often a champ well past his

Well if it were Sampras he'd relish playing the guy who beat him. He
loved getting revenge. Not sure if Fed is that tough mentally, so yes
his best bet may be to avoid playing the guy who beat him?

Excellent. Sampras is USO king! Fed needs to either win 1 more USO, or
make 3 more finals to pass Sampras at USO.

Thanks haze for clarifying that situation.

Remember now, if Fed loses Wimbledon final to Murray you can't go back &
say Fed & Sampras are equal at USO ok?

cheers

Yes, take it from one who's been there.. what did you say your age-
group
ranking is? I know a couple of AU/NZ players now in the US; I'll have
to
ask them about the Doohan-slayer.. surely legendary in those confines.
