It's because they're Arabic, Turkish or Persian in origin.
E.g. the guy from who won Next Gen?
Djokovic won big boys YEC and next gen YEC was won by...

Hamad is probably some variation of Ahmad?
Medjedovic is Medvedev. A bear.
But Medved is standard word in Serbian too, so it should be Medved or Medvedovic.
Medjed is rural, highlander talk, southern Balkans.
A Moslem from Serbia, from Serbia's second most de-christianized region during Turkish yoke.
Number most de-christianized and then de-serbianized is Kosovo.
But this guy is no Turk, he's blonde. A Slav. Probably more Slavic than Djokovic.
Novak is more dinaric.

Naturally Hamad doesn't consider himself a Serb.
Moslems from all over Yugoslavia have decreed in 1993 that they're to be "Bosniaks".
Laying claims to Bosnia as their ethnic space.
Before that they were merely (Yugoslav) Moslems. But indeed they had been recognised by Tito in 1963 as a separate nationality.
Yugoslav coat of arms added 6th torch in 1963 to represent Moslems.
