"Score is true & he played too good for me, just accept that.
Congratulate him because he played really well"

"When he play like this, he is better than me. That's it. I didn't
have nothing to do today. He was too good for me"

"only Federer can play at this level; I accept normally the losses,
it's not the 1st time I lose a match like this, won't be last"

"I am perfect today. Ystrdy I didn't know if I'd be ready today, but
today I played w/out problems"

"when he plays that well, the only way is to serve at the best level;
not making enough free points on the serve cost me"

"If Roger plays like this on another surface, don't worry, he will
beat me too. That's the truth."

What's her name should appreciate that, but she won't.

Except for the grunting, Rafael Nadal is a good sport. Some people
say he cheats, but I am a stickler about rules and the only thing
he does wrong rule-wise is the grunting, and obviously the tennis
Association does not consider that cheating.

And yeah, of course Nadal is not the greatest of all time.

What?? Are you joking? He habitually takes 35-45 seconds between every
single point when he serves. That is blatant cheating. Today I timed
him and it was the best I've ever seen him: the longest he took
between serves was 39 seconds. But he never ONCE took less than 20
seconds and that is the rule. The chair umpire just almost never
enforces it.

So Rafa is basically saying that Roger is "BOAT" - according to
Whispabob definitions? :)

What is the big deal re Rafa saying this stuff about Federer? That is
Rafa's M.O. He always heavily praises his opponents. Didn't he say
Djokovic was the cat's meow and the best or greatest(can't remember
which) when Djokovic beat him senseless?

Frustrating year for Rafatards:
Ferrer nixes the RafaSlam at AO. Rafa 3.0 prompts erection of shrine in
Monte Carlo.
Djok beats Nadal left and right -but loses to Rog-to illuminate why
matchups matter.
Now Fed trashes Rafa again at YEC with the tombstone of the 'surface
skews the H2H' argument.

The rest should be silence.

The real umpires disagree.

In other words... Your post had nothing to do with the fact that
Rafael Nadal was being a good humble sport in what he said.

You mean nothing to any of them. Lighten up, and enjoy your
thread, if that's possible.

CHEATING is STILL CHEATING even if the umpire does not call it.

If the umpire is deliberately NOT enforcing the rules than that is CORRUPTION.

He was being generous.

The thing is, Roger can't play like this against him on another surface.

yes, you'd never get this kind of praise for somebody else, ever, from
Fed. Even after the 2008 FO the arrogant git still reckoned he
could've won.

Djoker whooped Fed again at the USO, match-ups have nothing to do with
it, Djoker choked cos the World number #1 spot was up for grabs, as he
had done in the past.

That's not what he said. Correct translation: This surface favours
Federer, all credit to him for winning a rr match against me.

Still MC, RG and possibly DC. The essential Rafa.

> Djok beats Nadal left and right -but loses to Rog-to illuminate why

Fed won only one match against Djoker this year and lost more, proves
very little of matchups.

Indeed, even though Djokovic being a poor matchup for Rafa...Rafa still
leads their h2h - same can't be said of Fed-Rafa, in fact never could.

> Now Fed trashes Rafa again at YEC with the tombstone of the 'surface

That's very stupid comment: In fact this Fed's win takes credibility
from fedfans argument that h2h is skewed - it is now in fact skewed in
favour of single tournament, on an irrelevant surface/conditions.

Whooped? 2-0 in sets, match-points, remember? I wouldn't call that
whooped.

More nonsense from RST's hyperproductive delusion factory.
SliceandDice happens to have posted a link to the complete Federer
interview after Roland Garros 2008, in the "Heaven a little closer
tonight..." thread. Fed acknowledged that he'd been hammered and that
Nadal was "supreme" on the day.

I'm pretty sure he has said this already...when being questioned about the
h2h with Fed. He felt that the reason it was so skewed was because the
majority of their meetings had been on clay, which favoured him. There is a
video of the presser/interview on yootoob somewhere.
