I hope Federer learned something from his last match against DP in the FO

If he is going to spin the ball on clay and the ball rises to DP
waist, DP will hit him off the court.
He will need to use the slice more and be ready to hit down the lines
both wings.
Also I hope his dropshot is ready.

Should be an interesting match. Fed hasn't been attrocious here....but he
hasn't been at the level we saw after AO. Del Po was playing some great
stuff against Berdy, but he relies too much on playing waaay back from the
baseline. I'm pretty sure, like you surmise, that we will see many slices
and drop shots....but he will need to hit hard and with good length at times
to keep DelP honest. I think we will see him fade the ball out really wide
left and right to get DelP moving....he isn't wanting to run much here -
especially with a niggly knee injury. DelP is going to want to brutalise
everything to collapse the Fed game....and eliminate any chance Fed has to
neutralise him, so first strike will likely be pretty important for Fed
today.....good serving and returning required! :)
