Yes' debut self titled album is an absolute classic. I was listening
to the remastered version of it on my iphone with my new Bang and
Olufsen headphones and it sounded incredible. All the songs are great.
Their second album Time And A Word is somewhat lame though (I do not
like Clear Days and Astral Traveller and several songs are ruined by
the orchestra).

Although I find it hard to respect Jon Anderson very much...

Frankly ELP is the best prog rock group of the 1970s, for sure.

If Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Yes and Van Der Graaf Generator were not
prog, then I agree :) I prefer ELP to King Crimson and Genesis.

Interesting how the mid 60 to early 70s featured a lot of bass-playing
tenors. McCartney, Cetera, Lake, Jack Bruce. All were inclined to play
the bass as a melodic instrument as well.

Thats why it is my favorite period. Lot of rock bands with lead
bassists - McCartney, Waters, Squire, Kilmister, Lee, Lake, Bruce,
SamwellSmith, Paul Jones, Butler, Glover... the list goes on...

Are you a timelord posting from the 70's....?

I can't think of any other plausible explanation for your disturbing
behaviour?

Not everyone can dig Gaga

I can see any plausible reason for a grown up man digging shitty
recent pop. Only a wannabe hipster would do this. Truly pathetic if
you are above 20 and you like Jonas Brothers, Beyonce, Lady Ga Ga,
Christina Aguilera, Backstreet Boys, *N Sync or Britney Spears.

TT is proud of his shitty music tastes. He thinks Gaga is superior to
ELP. Whatever.

No TT has a decent taste in music. The dude with the worst taste in
music is Whisper over here.

Only gaga & Aguilera are ok on that list - the rest are gay.

I have diverse tastes that include Michael Buble, Katherine Jenkins,
Joss Stone, Rob Thomas, Diane Birch, Diesel, Ellie Goulding, Hayley
Westenra, Lady Antebellum, Marina & the Diamonds, Natasha Bedingfield,
Miley Cyrus, Sara Bareilles, Norah Jones & of course the king Sting.

You need to get over your fascination with geriatric old man from 70's
pub bands - yawn.

I threw in a joke choice there. Can you spot it?

Sounds pretty gay actually

To some maybe. I'm just not interested in smelly old fat men with
beards 'rocking' away. Completely boring & holds zero appeal for me.
You're free to enjoy what you want.

Yeah a pretty taste in music. No wonder he is nuts about Pete
"gaylord" Sampras ;-)

Not one of the bands I like have fat bearded men. I like most of the
bands for what they did in their prime... not when they were old....
