Seriuosly, you can see his scalp, that's some major thining.

Who is bald in his family? Toni doesn't seem to have the problem. I've
never seen his father.

Kinda bummer for marketing department. How soon before goes Ljubicic?

So i wan't imagining it. I was shocked when they where showing him
getting into the service motion an i could the the entire outline of
hist head/skull thru the hair. Very weird, he's only 24.

What can he do? Remember when Lucas Arnold was banned because he
failed doping test because he was taking stuff for hairloss? I doubt
Nadal would dare take drugs like those for fear of being accused of
doping.

Maybe it's just an allergic reaction to all the ass picking.

Well, on my father's side all my uncles have full heads of hair in
their late 60's-early 70s. My father, he was using a combover when he
got married at 28 :S

(I've already gone past that age with no combover needed, but I have
to say that my forehead is growing at an alarming rate...)

His uncle Rafael Nadal is bald. You can get the gene from an uncle as
well. Father Sebastian is not bald nor are uncles Toni and Miguel
Angel.

Davydenko was like this at 24 too. Get a life.

Pretty obvious when his hair got wet during the US final. And Rafa
knows it. You could se him covering his "crown" with his hands when he
lied down in celebration. Can't really picture Rafa with a shaved head
though..

You know what causes this, right?

I thought the gene came from your mother. I'll need to look it up
though to make sure.

This is what I heard scientists have alleged also. I am not convinced,
however...doesn't seem to work in practice. Most of my friends seem to
follow their Father for hair type/longevity/receding pattern.

According to Chinese Medicine, loss of hair outside of heredity is due
to diminishing kidney Chi. They have herbs for building up the Kidney
Chi. It arrested the hair loss in my case.

Mostly from the mother, but not entirely. Obviously, however, you
cannot get genes for baldness (or any other genes) from an uncle. That
was the science LOL of the month.

Maybe ocean's uncle is more closely related to him than his 'father'?
That could explain a lot. ;)

You people are really lame. I don't have those problems since my dad
is 65 and has a full head of hair like my uncles, silly. But I have
seen sons go bald despite having a father that has a full head of hair
but that have an uncle that is bald. So it does happen. I see you
are still bitter... 1 more slam for Fed and it's over. Bye.

Hair lines tend to run through the MATERNAL side of ones family lines
not the PATERNAL, genetically speaking...

I really don't understand the obsession with Nadal's or any other
player's hair loss. Say Roddick or Murray.... Yeah, Murray is also
losing his hair. It's not like they are tv/movie stars like Zac
Efron, Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner. Seriously who fucking
cares? Nadal might as well start using a baseball cap when playing and
get it over with.

Forget about the genes and deal with the biochemistry.

There are SOME performance enhancing drugs that accelerate male

ANYTHING that maximizes testosterone even if it's 100% legal is going to make male pattern baldness worse.

So if you have hair follicles that don't like testosterone you're gonna drop a few hairs as a male pro athlete.

I'm not convinced that Traditional Chinese Medicine is complete hokum but when I hear things like good and bad Chi it makes me wonder how reliable these herbs can be. I suppose poor kidney function could cause hair loss but by that time you'd probably feel generally pretty crappy.

If you get your creatinine levels and a simple renogram you'll know if your kidneys are putting out enough 'Chi'.

I think Western medicine has a pretty good handle on the causes and treatments for hair loss....I'd be careful about using any herbs without knowing exactly what they are and their possible toxicity.

Having said that, you can't argue with success. If it works for you and it is safe, go for it.....but don't assume because it is herbal and Chinese that it is completely safe and tested. You might be ingesting the crushed ovaries of a cow or something like that.

Lol, I agree about the testing and safety of the herbs as many of the
Chinese herbs have high quantities of lead and other heavy metals . :-)
I always ask for laboratory tests for heavy metals, and try to buy
organic herbs.

Regarding Qi, it's hard to quantify but I think it's more subtle than
just lab tests (and this is where traditional native medicine loses
Western followers, I guess). In the Indian traditional medicine
(Ayurveda), it's called "prana" or vital energy. Sometimes lab tests
can show normal activity, but the vitality might be still missing.
