The super slow mos are great and one reason I like the eurosport
coverage of matches. I don't think I have ever seen espn or USA do it.

WOW !

Many thanks for the link Marcus !

VERY interesting to see the effect of the extreme grips on the forehand
(must cause injuries !) with the more 'classical' western / semi western
grips adopted by fed.

Also stunning to see the effects on the body - now we know why we have to be
prepared / loosened up before hitting the court.

Many thanks

Jim

Download the newest version of Storm Codec.

You could try using GSpot to identify the codecs, or go the way Wendy
suggests: use videolan.

GSpot is included in Storm Codec.

Thanks! Wonderful stuff.

To me Federer stands out for a) the relaxation in his face and body, b)
hitting early, c) the lack of an extreme grip.

I like the way Federer, just with a gentle flick of the wrist, imparts
topspin on the ball. It's quite a departure from the clay demons who wildly
snap at the ball, including Nadal.

When Nadal and company were at the Masters Cup in November, one of Nadal's
coaches was imitation Federer's forehand stroke in the stands, as if to say,
just this little forward wrist flick does it. Just a quick brush, and not
more forearm.

Like Sampras' serve, Graf's forehand, or Edberg or Mac's volley, Federer's
forehand is a master stroke.

Download VLC media player. You don't need to worry about the codecs.

Which must take amazing timing, incidentally.

I read somewhere that Federer is purported to hold his racquet very
loosely during play. These videos would seem to support that, as his
racquet tends to not only move more on impact with the ball than any
other players', but in some clips, it actually shifts in his hand after
contact.

VLC is very good. It also does video streaming. And, it's open source and free.

When my other players won't play something VLC almost always does.
