"What Parche displayed was not so much heroism as what the Germans
call Zivilcourage, a term best translated as “the courage to stand up
for what one believes.” In a society where random violence is
commonplace in many areas, and where it is unusual for passersby to
intervene, actions like his provide a much-needed – but all too rare –
model for the rest of us. The Süddeutsche Zeitung cites a sheet of
paper left among the roses at Parche's house with the words: "The
more citizens with Zivilcourage a country has, the fewer heroes it
will need in the future."

On September 16, the Free State of Bavaria held a minute of silence at
6:30 p.m. in Parche’s honor. Some 2,000 people assembled at the
stadium for a brief memorial ceremony. A Lutheran pastor praised him
for “breaking the spiral of violence.”

Parche has been awarded the Bavarian Medal of Honor. He has also been
recommended for the Federal Cross of Merit, Germany’s highest honor."

Seems appropriate after what he has achieved for Germany. It will look
nice alongside his Iron Cross. People can say what they like about
Parche but it took a helluva lot of guts to creep up behind a
19-year-old girl and stab her in the back with a KNIFE.

You're welcome Manco but there really is no need for that kind of language.

Sich lustig machen über ein Gewaltopfer.

Yes, Manco, watch your language. It's not "douche", it's actually
"douchbag". Now go, apologize and repeat your post with correct words.

Why do you cross-post junk about Steffi to other newsgroups? We know
you hate her for some weird reason. If you said anything positive
about her, then it would have been excused. But this is just being a
dick. You deserve all the abuses you get from Max.

Max is well known for his compassion towards victims of violence.
Especially young women who get stabbed in the back.
