I'm completely puzzled by any fascination/interest/attention paid to men
dressed as women, and especially as slutty women. I've tried hard to
fathom why there could have ever been places like Finocchio's in San
Francisco, or Darcelle V in Portland. Basically, I can only understand
cross-dressing as either cos play by adults, with the drag queen
expecting everyone else to play along, like a spoiled 4 year old kid who
dresses up like Darth Vader and expects you to be genuinely scared, or
as a sort of carnival freak show attraction, like Jake the Alligator Man.

So in the latter case, the freak show, it's a sort of appeal to base
levels of "entertainment", like medieval kings keeping hunchback dwarves
for laughs. If that's it, I'd much rather pay to see a live two-headed
calf, or a bunch of boa constrictors having group sex.

"To the average American or Englishman the very name of anarchy causes a shudder, because it invariably conjures up a picture of a land terrorized by low-browed assassins with matted beards, carrying bombs in one hand and mugs of beer in the other. But as a matter of fact, there is no reason whatever to believe that, if all laws were abolished tomorrow, such swine would survive the day."
