Hi everyone,

I'm buying a "Czech Sports" professional stringing machine model CT750DS -
floor standing single action clamps with the crank tension head. I like
this machine better than the the Ektelon NEOS machine since it has 6
points mounting racquet support system (Ektelon only as 2 points) and the
tension head is supposed to be very similar to the Ektelon's system. I
thought about buying the Babolat Star 3 or 4 system but the cost was a
bit high ($4 to $5K) and the wife talked me out of it. The one I'm
getting is their top of the line and costs $795US + $45 shipping (via UPS).

Has anyone bought from Czech Sports and has any feedback as far as
service/support and the likes from this company in Las Vegas?

Does anyone has complaints/complements for their machines to report?

Please e-mail me "av...@syntek-usa.com" (preferred) or post here...

Thanks - Alan

According to the USRSA, a test of one of the Czech Sports machines
actually cracked the frame of a racquet. Although Czech claims that they
fixed the problem, they refused to supply another machine for re-testing.
I would wonder why...
According to some other distributors, Czech uses plastic parts in some
areas, where guys like Alpha, Gamma, Ektelon (Prince) use metal. That will
partially account for the difference in price.
In my experience, 2-point mounting (as on the Ektelon Model H) vs. 6-pts.
does not make as big a deal as one would think. You only need 2-pts.,
provided it's done properly.
Finally, Czech Sports was recently purchased by a Las Vegas (used?) car
dealer, and is no longer in the hands of the man that developed the line.
Suggestion: Do extensive homework, and call Tennis Machines Inc. in St
Louis (314 394 8811). They sell refurbished machines, with guarantees, and
have been in business a long time. I just bought a machine from them and I
was exceedingly satisfied. Also, call Don Hightower at USRSA (e-mail
USR...@aol.com, I think) and see what he has to say before you buy...
Good Luck!

I have a Czech Sports 750 and have been very pleased with it. The
customer service has been quite good. I have not had any problems
such as that reported by the USRSA. I have found it to be a very good
machine for the price.

I have no financial or other interest in the company.

Alan,
My friend bought the 750 and ended up selling after two months. He HATED it.
He had the Model H by Ektelon and thought he was getting a good deal. It
worked okay for about ten racquets then he started having problems. CS
said they would take it back but it was easier to sell it to a local high
school than return it back to them. I would recommend getting some more
opinions before buying it. Call the USRSA, they post on here from time to
time.

I have got a Czech Sports stringing machine. It's model number
escaped me, but it has crank tension head, double action clamps, and
six point mounting system. Compare to the Ektelon machine ( there is
a old beat up machine a my club ), its tension head is quit similiar,
but not as well made ( the components and machining job is a bit rough
) but works just fine. It is of heavy duty construction. I haven't
had any problems with it so I would not know how good is Czech Sports
service/support is. Given the infrequent use, I don't expect any
problems with my machine base on my almost two years of experience
with it. Also I have noticed from Czech's pictures in Tennis that
they are using different posts than are on mine for holding the
racket. It looks kind weak, but I hope it is a improvement.

Over all, I am happy with their machine and would recommand highly
if you string periodically, may be once every couple of weeks,
like myself. I have no idea how the machine would hold up if you string
10 rackets a day.
