L-NITT intro & history:
* 1992-93 the founding of the League of Northeast Inter-collegiate
Table Tennis, directed by Thomas Hu, then of RPI, with teams from UConn,
BU, Stony Brook, and RPI. Stony Brook won the finals held at RPI.
* 1993-94 two new divisions, north and south, playing two round
robins, ie home and away games within the division, and directed by
Nelson Chin, of BU, with teams from BU, Harvard, MIT, Wellesley, Brown
and Yale for North Div, and teams from RPI, Hofstra, SUNY Stony Brook,
and UPenn for South Div.

candidates for next 1995 L-NITT FINAL playing site:
* in order of preference in April: Hofstra, Harvard
* other schools were mentioned but we don't know if they are available,
like RPI, UPenn, NYU, Princeton..etc

1994-95 L-NITT ALL-STAR team candidates:
* the L-NITT All-STAR team will consist of 8 players plus 2
alternatives, ideally 4 female/4 male team. Nominated included Eugene
Shuster (MIT), Krishna Kumar (Brown), Bing Li (Brown), Jasper Wong
(Brown), Jane Chui (UMA), Gloria Chang (WC), Henry Gosebruch (UPenn),
David Rosenzweig (UPenn).

* If you see your name, please email but...@bu.edu whether you want to
accept or refuse nomination. If you are not a student next year, you
will not be eligible. Also if you don't see a name on here that should
be nominated please email in nominations.

* The L-NITT ALL-STAR team will have their first meet with the Japanese
National College Team on November 20, place TBA.

* The L-NITT ALL-Star Team will be partially subsidized by L-NITT for
each players transportation and uniform.

1994-95 administrative format
1.0 Administration
1.1 There shall be one league director:
1.1.2 who shall be mediating any dispute settling.
1.1.3 who shall be responsible for arranging the L-NITT final
1.1.4 who shall be the treasurer and make available a financial report.
1.1.5 who shall have contact with the division directors
1.1.6 and who shall periodically announce tournament results, and any
other items of interest or concern on tte...@world.std.com mailing
list, and on USENET rec.sport.table-tennis newsgroup, and by any other
means accesssible.

1.2 There shall be one division director for each region:
1.2.1 who shall draw up the match schedule,
1.2.2 who shall keep the match schedule up to date,
1.2.3 who shall have contact with all team captains in his division.
1.2.4 who shall forward all membership fees collected to the League director.
1.2.5 and who shall be reimbursed for league-related expenses provided
that expenses are documented.

1994-95 Playing format:
2.2 October 1 shall be the deadline for new teams to join a division,
except if all teams of the division unanimously agree to let a new team
join at a later date.
2.3 If a division has 6 schools, they have option to split into two
divisions, and if beyond 6 schools, the division shall be split into two
new divisions, with a new division director for the new split division.
2.4.1 a minimum of 3 teams required for petitioning for new regional
division, and teams should be no more than 2 hours travel distance from
each other.

3.2 There shall be one round robin in each division, and a maximum of
three weekends maybe selected each semester at a selected central
playing site, to have tri-meets throughout the season.

4.1.3 If a division has 3 or 4 teams, only the top team may participate
in the final.

9.1 A team shall consist of 3 to 6 players to play

Public Relations and Marketing:
* Sylvia Lee and Jasper Wong talked about more publicity for L-NITT.
* Nelson Chin suggested t-shirts for publicity in addition to being used
as team uniform.
* S.Lee will work on getting business sponsors for 1994-95 with supported
help from J.Wong :)
* Yat Siu suggested working through connections, which is more effective
than faxing or mailing to schools, which may get buried under a pile of
junk mail.

Petition for new divisions:
* A west division shall be split away from the South division.
* Yale shall be transferred to the South divsion.
* UMass Amherst shall be placed with West division.

9.1 A team shall consist of 3 to 6 players to play
