It's Wang Hao v. Ryu Seung Min in the Finals of the Olympics.
It was nice to see "complete" matches on Bravo!
Wang Hao d. Wang Liqin 4-1. I'd say that Wang Hao was much more
aggressive in taking control of the points and looked quicker than Wang
Liqin today.
Ryu Seung Min d. J-O Waldner 4-1. I was impressed with Ryu's serve and
serve return. Ryu forced a lot of errors from Waldner right off the
serve, and in turn Ryu was incredibly stable returning Waldner's serve.
I hope to see the finals broadcasted.

Good point. Waldner forced very few errors, and his third-ball attack
was for the most part non-existent.

Nevertheless, watching him against Ryu and Wang Liqin there are a few
things in his game that have fallen off.
Waldner is definitely not as quick as he was before - and his
backhand attack isn't what it used to be - previously, that punch-smash
was devastating in combination with the variation of sidespin blocks. I
still saw the masterful sidespin - but the punch was not there often
enough.
You can also see the evolvement of tabletennis. When Waldner got pushed
off the table, he has his forehand counterloop, and a backhand
retrieve. The newer generation (Wang Liqin, Schlager, Kreanga, Boll)
now have a backhand that can counterloop an opponent's forehand loop. I
think Kreanga has the style of play of the future - double wing
counterlooping ability.
