Subject: Etc, etc.
First, I like to pass on my best wishes for merry Christmas and happy new
year to all the L-NITT players out there! Look forward to play some of you
when you visit the "prison" at Providence next year. A well-deserved break
for the team captains and Nelson-who worked hard to organize league play and
also played hard!
It's interesting to note how many different teams have appeared in L-NITT
such that 3 of the 4 Brown players in the Harvard match have yet to play
again and the line-ups for other school also seem to fluctuate. In addition to
the L-NITT all-star team nomination for the U.S. vs Japan match, (to be played
on V-J day, ofcourse) how about also have a Shakehand vs. Penhold contest?
Some other thoughts (just thoughts):
-if our car mileage from traveling in league play could be used as frequent
flier mileage credits...
-new Butterfly paddles: the "Biotech"-a paddle made from recombinant proteins
synthesized by bacteria, totally biodegradable and safe to use. the "boom"
attack paddle-has a mini-microphone to magnify that "BANG!!" sound when one
loops so the opponent ducks.

UPDATES:
i've talked to my club advisor today and asked to see if he gotten the
revised fund request form from our treasurer, and he took it out and said
he added $100 to the already $100 given from the previous fund request of
$3. this time we asked for $1000 more to pay back on two of the europa
table loan from a club member. Immediately he just whipped out a pen and
filled out a form to give us $200 more.. i was surprised..
also i've reserved two saturdays March19/April16 which can be used for
USTTA tournaments and/or L-NITT final. During the L-NITT final we'll also
hold our annual mtg to decide on future expansion/leadership of L-NITT.
So if you're interested in inputting suggestions , reflecting on this
past season or joining L-NITT next year, your presence at the L-NITT
final will be appreciated.
Today i also called up julie of Martin Kilpatrick, who distributes
butterfly equipment for USA, and agrees to help us out with t-shirts, ie,
change the current BU t-shirts to L-NITT t-shirts. The shirts will
probably cost around $9 each, and BU has been selling the previous batch at
club membership price of $12 each. If you have a logo or talent in
t-shirt design, or color suggestion, please email but...@bu.edu ASAP.
i'll be bringing this up also at our club's semester planning mtg
tomorrow Saturday at 3pm at GSU Food Court.. all welcomed to come and
sit-in. and BU starts practice tomorrow saturday 4-7pm at Sargent Gym
