I tried the stiga cleaning foam, but din't like it. I thought somebody
might have a homemade rubber cleaning recipe so I can make up my own.
If you do I'd be interested in trying it.

Carefully mix two parts hydrogen to one part oxygen. Beware of small
explosion. Resulting liquid is clear, gentle on rubber, and tasty too.

Yes, that is clearly the best liquid.
Although made this way in amounts enough to clean with would mean a huge
explosion and still no liquid in sight as it would all be vapor ;)

I use distilled water. No chlorine, no minerals, no residue, cheap,
available, no alcohol. My rubber stays sticky and new-looking for a
long time.

How do you apply the distilled water? Do you use a small spray bottle?

Just dampen a natural cellulose sponge and keep it in a plastic zip-loc
baggy in your racket case when you go play.

Let the sponge dry at the end of your playing session so it doesn't
become a bacteria farm.

Thanks for the reply Victor. I'll have to give it a try.

Yeah. Go to Wal-Mart and ask the pharmacist if he has any small spray
bottles. If not, go to the over-the-counter section and look for
something cheap, small, and rinsable (say, hair spray or cologne).
While you're at Wal-Mart, go to the cosmetics section and get a
package of little white "sponges".

Hardware stores often have spray bottles, but they may be bigger than
necessary.
