There are calls for the entire Chinese Swimming team to be expelled from
the 1998 World Swimming Championships in Perth, Western Australia after
drugs were allegedly found in the baggage of a female member of the
Chinese team on arrival in Sydney Airport yesterday.

Though the Chinese team are apparently saying the confiscated material
is turtle jelly, the thirteen vials are labelled as somatrophin, a
human growth hormone. Human growth hormones are undetectable in
standard sports drug testing. Tests to determine the exact contents are
being conducted in Sydney and results should be known later today.

The swimmer reputed to be under the spotlight is Yuan Yuan, ranked 12th
in the world for 100m and 200m Breastroke, and she and her teammates had
to be escorted from Perth Airport by police due to a media frenzy.

Outspoken Australian coach Forbes Carlisle and former World Champion
and record-holder Tracey Wickham are two commentators calling for the
Chinese team to be barred from further competition in the Championships.

Both are suggesting that if Chinese swimmers are awarded Gold medals in
these championships that the crowd should turn their backs during medal
ceremonies to show disapproval.

Hey Dumbfuck,

Bitch, don't fudge the issue. It doesn't
take a genius to "bust" people when you setup the
whole thing in the first place.

Maybe if you learned to quote and attribute you wouldn't seem to be as
much an idiot. For now you're just another dumnfuck shouting in the
darkness.

When will this relic shut-up, he trained Tracey Wickham, well done.
Now go away and stop bleeting like some lost goat.
Why can't some of these has-beens get lost (Carlisle, Wickham)
Now they've dug up Shane Gould

Steve.

Oh please. Let's not confuse the issue and keep the conversations civilized.
If it was a set up then why would there be members of the chinese delegation
trying to say that they packed the bag?

Forbes Carilie is one of the best coaches in the wolrd today. He has done more
for the sport of swimming then almost anyone else. He does clinics all over the
world helping swimmers and by the way, he still does coach. Most coaches would
probably take offense to your remarks if they have read any of his papers,
recent or old. What have you done for swimming? If you have done nothing,
then you should have nothing more to say about Carilie.

First the guy complains the Chinese swim too fast and now he complains
they swim too slow!
Obviously he has a problem with other races.

You could also point out that Steve is a little misguided in his
information. Carlisle coached Shane Gould not Tracey Wickham One L.
Lawrence was Tracey's coach (as in Sieben, Armstrong et al). Tracey is
such a has been that Twenty years on, if someone swam her winning time,
daylight would be given the silver. Also included in the "has beens" is
a rather good USA 400 & 800 swimmer J Evans and a handy Hungarian
backstroker. FWIW there were at least 14 bag searches of swimming team
members scheduled.

Welllllllllll what do you think is gonna happen 20 years on (after
Tracey Wickham)
No improvements in time . Of course there is gonna be improvements
in all sports not just swimming. Swimmers today spend a lot
more time on training and weights as well. It is just natural
for times to get better as the years go on you IDIOT.
You can't compare Tracey to swimmers of today thats just
being bloody stupid.

And also

Janet Evans world record in the (i think it was the 800 metres)
is still intact Bennet Brooke who won the race at the
worlds didn't get anywhere near the world record of
Janet Evans. And I think Janet Evans was classified
as better than "rather good"

Some of you guys really surprise me with your stupidity

Kim :)
