From the time that Jansher Khan first appeared on the international scene of
squash until 1992, when Jahangir Khan faded away, the rivalry between the
two was intense and they were running neck and neck. In 1987, at age 17,
Jansher made an unheard of run all the way to the finals of the British
Open, where he was defeated by Jahangir. Then, Jansher defeated Jahangir in
the Hong Kong Open, then in a tournament in Pakistan, and again in the
semi-finals of the World Open, which Jansher won after beating Chris Dittmar
in the finals. Jahangir won the World Open again in 1988, but Jansher won
it in 1989 and 1990. Between 1992 and 1996, Jansher won it another 5 times.
However, Jahangir was able to keep the British Open title out of Jansher's
reach until 1992 (his sixth attempt). I hope that this short history helps
